"Okay i’ve been getting the jerk salmon cheesesteak from here about once per week for the past two months. I could not recommend this place more. The food is 10000/10 and the service and care from the owner and chef is absolutely incredible. They consistently provide some of the best comfort food i could ask for. My only issue with this most incredible establishment is that they don’t have more locations all over the city. If you need a good lunch or dinner this week, get fishscale. It has become my go-to spot for dinner when i can’t figure out what else I want to eat."

Fantastic food and great experience. We were given a walkthrough of the menu and suggestions for combinations to try. You can't go wrong with any combination, both of our meals were delicious! The owners were fantastic and we love their approaches to eating sustainably. We would visit DC just to eat here!

Hands down the best food we have had in DC. I had the mahi mahi tacos and my date had the crab cake burger. We are visiting from california and almost went down to the wharf for dinner but based on the great reviews we decided to come here instead. Boy are we glad we did. Not only was the food amazing but the entire staff were friendly and helpful and passionate about their business. If we lived here we would be regulars. Thanks for the great meal!

I had the Chesapeake cheesesteak, with Maryland blue catfish cooked to perfection with sauteed onions and peppers, and melted provolone on an absolutely perfectly grilled roll, topped with a spicy cream sauce. It was to die for. Everything is made fresh to order, but it is well worth the wait. Excellent and friendly service. Fun and interesting drink choices. If you're in the DC area, FishScale is a place to visit. Thank you to @typicalblaqueen on TikTok for the excellent recommend.
