"Food was delicious, great staff ! We ordered the Braised Pork Pizza, Tortelloni Brussel Sprouts. All were amazing! The pizza sprouts were slightly oily/greasy but we still ate it all. The dark chocolate hazelnut pizza was more of a crispy dough with dots of dark chocolate Gamache roasted hazelnuts. Which was unexpected, but still delicious. Everyone at the table agreed it was a must next time."

Incredible food all around. Best gnocchi I?ve ever had (part of the strip loin meal). Our server Sarah was so sweet and the ambiance is lovely (both inside and outside). We rarely eat at the restaurant in the hotel we?re staying at, but we were struggling to find an enticing ?low key? place to eat nearby and the menu here looked fabulous. So glad we did!!!

"We chose Lovina for obvious reasons during our last visit to Calistoga. I had heard both great and not so great reviews about the impossibility of Lasagna. After I tried, I can't imagine how someone could say they didn't like it. It was just amazing! Very tasteful, perfectly prepared pasta, and so creamy and tasty. We actually went twice (two birthdays) and the first time I ordered the Impossible Bolognese and it was very good, but the Lasagne is the real star. There are two vegan desserts that are mentioned byt vegan cheesecake and a date / chocolate dish. I prefer the cheesecake by far. "that was a nice place for a quiet lunch with a friend. the menu was diverse and interesting. portions were just suitable for lunch. the waitress was kind and didn't hurry. we ate inside, because it was a little cool to sit outside. the dining room has a beautiful atmosphere and there is plenty of space between tables."

"I was so excited to dine at Evangeline on our vacation but the excitement quickly turned to disappointment and frustration. I don’t usually leave reviews online and like to give the benefit of the doubt for sub-par experiences but this was on another level. To start, we had a reservation and were seated promptly. We quickly received our drink orders and apps. The Brussels and bread were great, the fried pickles weren’t my favorite but that’s ok. Where the frustration comes in is after this point. We waited over half an hour (for real, I confirmed on the clock using 10 minutes after check in time as the baseline- we were a bit early so may have been longer than that) until our waiter came back to the table to ask for our order for mains. At that point, other tables had been served, had orders taken, etc. it felt like we were the table that our waiter decided to ignore. Other tables were also cashed out ahead of us, even later in the night when we had our payment ready before them.We were polite, we were ready when he came, I don’t know of any faux pas or protocol we could have inadvertently violated. It felt like he just decided that it was ok to ignore us. We ended up just ordering a side and dessert to get out of there quickly as it felt like we weren’t wanted or cared for there and were not valued guests. I travel frequently, I’m always excited to try new places and appreciative for the work and care by restauranteurs and waitstaff, I was so disappointed to have made such a bad choice at the place where I was on vacation and to have this disheartening experience. It may have just been a bad night but a simple “sorry, we’re busy, I’ll be with you as soon as I can” would have worked wonders to make this a better experience."

"We stopped here on our recent visit to Napa Valley for Lunch. Food was good. But service was not. Children did not seem to be welcome here. We were party of 8+ 1 toddler. Our server seemed rude and tired. No smiles at all. While placing our orders we were asking questions and her replies sounded like 'seriously you don 't even know this ' or 'don 't you understand in one time '. When we asked her to repeat the available dressings, it seemed to me she made a face and then with super great efforts repeated it so fast that i was again not able to listen. I felt so nervous, i just said yes this one...lol All in all the server ruined our mood and did not try to make us comfortable at all."
