"Update 2020 after 9 years of my review The hotel and restaurant offers a good kitchen and excellent service. With the hiking group I got a hot soup there on winter afternoon, with bread and without marmots. Other locals currently only offer cakes. The ambience is welcoming, the service is always friendly and helpful. My wife's cousin celebrated her silver wedding there and was also very happy. Here in the Wildeshauser Geest you can recommend a place. In September 2016 the restaurant was unfortunately burned by a technical lack of the ground walls, in October 2018 the newly built house was reopened. In 1547, Count Anton Günther I. von Oldenburg and Delmenhorst had recovered the county Delmenhorst and Harpstedt from Diözese Münster. The Count then built a water mill in today's Altonaer Mühlenbach. This was “everything nearby” to the Münsterische Stadt Wildeshausen, the later name Altona. In 1888 the Altona estate for 63000 gold brands was bought by Heinrich Ahrmann from Ueffeln near Bramsche. Among him and his wife Elise, the property developed into an important gastronomy and hotel business. Today the company is run by Heiner and his wife Inka Ahrmann together with the children Neele, Vincent and Malte. In the evening we had reserved a table today. We parked on the opposite parking lot and entered the house through the main entrance. A friendly gentleman brought us to the square. After our waiter, who asked for an aperitif before ordering, we chose the soft rose magic. From the kitchen as a small greeting six slices baguette with Red Beete Dip. Then we chose the "Gut Altona" Burger 200 gr. freshly grilled beef as a vegetarian burger with vegetable patty with Manchego cheese, homemade BBQ sauce, tomatoes ragout avocado and frits for 15,90 € as well as a Viennese carving from the calf with cranberries, roast potatoes and a mixed salad for 23,90 €. The clean toilets are accessible in the basement, by stairs and elevator."
