"Meine Freundin nennt mich manchmal scherzhaft Sossenmensch , da ich Sugo über alles liebe und ein gutes Essen oftmals durch die Qualität der Sossen und Dips definiert wird. Im Restaurant Bliss in Fribourg schlug mein Herz am vergangenen Wochenende höher, da ich eine Bowl mit Linsenbällen, traumhaftem Tomatensugo und leckerem Sour Creme geniessen konnte. Das Dessert war ein Früchtekuchen mit einer so zarten Konsistenz, dass ich gleich am Tresen nachfragen musste, wie sie das gemacht haben. Das geheime Rezept habe ich natürlich nicht erfahren dürfen, aber zumindest kenne ich jetzt eine der wichtigen Zutaten. Ha! Sehr zu empfehlendes Restaurant mit wunderbaren Menschen. Meine Freundin und ich haben den Besuch sehr genossen. Empfehlung 5 Sterne."

"Very nice establishment, gentle and pleasant. Magnificent view. Very friendly and good-willed staff. When it comes to cooking, it’s a little more complicated. As a starter, poached egg very good but almost cold. As a dish, ravioli, in fact it is a huge ravioli which is quite “heavy”. Concerning the wines, out of two ordered: none were from the right year. 2020 instead of 2019 and 2022 instead of 2018. Too bad, because it is a magnificent establishment."

"The fondue was excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. The server with a brassy blonde Bob made sure there was no nuts in the bread or crackers we were given. My problem was when our server changed to a tall woman with short brown hair. I told our server I had a nut allergy (multiple times in French and she confirmed she understood) she said okay and then did not bother to check with the kitchen if my dessert had nuts, she just told me it didn’t. The dessert DID have nuts and if I hadn’t have noticed this, I could have died because her lack of care and unprofessionalism. This restaurant is NOT SAFE for allergy sufferers. When I told her it had nuts she said no it doesn’t so I showed her the pieces of nuts in the dessert and she made a very weak apology and said she didn’t know that. Seriously not impressed as I could have died and very little care was shown for this outrageous mistake. The tall server with short hair for specificity."

"Its a lovely small hotel with a homey feeling and warm service. The location is very convenient and the landscape around Tafers is also beautiful. Close to some great spots like Gruyeres. The food in the restaurant is of excellent quality and their policy with food sourcing and environmental conscience is par exxelance. Would highly recommend."

"The All you can eat formula is great and includes a few drinks, but is a bit expensive in the evening. For lunch it 's great value. The sushi in the all you can eat buffet are not the best, but still OK. The buffet item never change, so it can get boring after a few times. I found that some of the staff was not very friendly. You have to pay for tap water, even if you order a bottle of whine."
