"the first time in the restaurant tyler at this weekend. we got the Spinat-Dip-Assizer and it was the best bath I ever had. very tasty, warm spinat dip and the fried tortilla chips served with them were great by themselves. I have garnel and grummed and the grumbs were perfectly cooked with the right amount of creamy cheese. the speck wrapped garnels were very tasteful. my wife got the fried chicken and she said it was very humid and among the best she had. we finished dessert with the “pancake” and it was also very good. our server ashley was very attentive and prompt with each request. we drove an hour to try restaurant tyler for something else and we will definitely be back! excellent experience!"

"Always a fantastic meal when we visit Obys. Catfish, chicken, salads, gumbo everything is good! As hard as our food industry workers are being worked we definitely could have gone without the server sweeping around our table and bumping our chairs essentially rushing us out near closing time. We are pleasant guests so we just ask for some pleasant treatment from staff next time we are out."

"We were excited to try this place, but unfortunately didn’t like it as much as we’d hope. To start, the service wasn’t great. It wasn’t terrible, but not good. We were seated and our server brought drinks and took our appetizer menu, but then after that waited about 10 minutes to come back and take our food order—even though we had 4 young children and were clearly ready. He was just sitting there taking to other workers anyway, so it wasn’t a “he was busy” issue. The appetizer was delivered, but no utensils. Fine—we ate it with our hands. And wiped our greasy fingers on the napkins. After what felt like quite a while, especially with it being slow at the restaurant at the time, our food came. And then I had to ask for utensils, because they still never came. We also wanted to ask for some ketchup, but didn’t see our server again until it was time to pay. We were checked on after a while by the floor manager (or something), so we did eventually get ketchup. It was odd though—I watched as the floor manager walked around and chatted with workers, then picked up a toothpick for patrons and put it in his mouth. I assume he never washed his hands between that and bringing us ketchup. Either way, not a professional way to act. The food. Some of the food was good—the sweet potato fries with caramel were good, definitely a unique combo that I hadn’t tried before. The fries were well salted, which I really appreciated. Cookies and cream shake was pretty good. The Philly Spring Rolls were okay too, though I wished for more flavor and they were definitely messy without silverware. The tots were nothing to write home about. Just tots. The Mac and cheese with pork belly was pretty good, as were the chicken bacon ranch sliders—but unfortunately, those yummier foods were what we ordered for our children, not us. The burgers were sadly dry and lacking in flavor. I ordered the Bryant and my husband ordered the Jalapeño Popper burger. Mine was less dry, but still not great. That was a total bummer since it was a burger restaurant. We will not be returning here."

"This is the cutest little coffee shop on Main Street that has a variety of coffee selections as well as very tasty breakfast options, including the breakfast burrito, which I had. I was great! I'm from Texas, so I definitely judge burritos pretty harshly. This one was fresh, loaded with eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, sausage cheese. They open at 7 and by 8, expect it to be buzzing with the locals college students, as they have a downstairs area for overflow with plenty of seating options. Can't wait to come back!"

"The man and I ate here for lunch. Kellner was on his game regarding service, recommendations and kindness! The General Manager stopped at our table, recommended an amazing Irish whiskey (by my husband's opinion) and was just as great as the waiter. The food was just that. Spring rolls should be on your list if you don't. I enjoyed mine with the chess wine dip. Fish tacos and the Siracha chicken sandwich were our entrees, we both couldn't believe how good they were. A chocolate shot was a delicious finish to our meal and a small dessert I recommend."
