"I visited this place with a vegan Indian colleague who had difficulty finding suitable food in the center of the pig belt. I had high hopes since finally there was a native Indian to show me the ropes. Indian food can be an explosion of well tuned exotic spices. We were seated outside immediately. The place on this Thursday evening was only half full. We started with 2 appetizers which were some kind batter fried vegetable matter that could not be differentiated from one another. Blah. The accompanying sauces were microscopic portions and except for the green concoction were also blah. The main meals were a combo called thalis. I ordered meat including lamb, chicken and veg. He ordered veg....

The Himalaya has a lunch buffet for a reasonable price. Food is decent, but nothing special. Service is ok.

We were enjoying the appetizers and ambience until the main courses arrived. The curry and briyani were way too salty for our taste. Other than that, it was a decent restaurant.

I am visiting this restaurant for last 10 years and really likes the food served here, mainly the lamb items - lamb vindaloo and bhuna lamb. They also have good options for vegetarians - bengan bharta. Mango lassi is a must try here. Overall u can enjoy great Indian food here.
