"On a street where virtually everthing is a food establishment (Restaurant Row), this is the most overlooked restaurant on the block possibly because you blink and you miss it as you go east on 46th Street from Ninth Avenue. It 's just off the corner, a tiny little hole in the wall that also includes an upstairs bar, the Betty Bar. I finally decided to try it after the Taste of Times Square festival last year speaking to someone eating there outside, he convinced me that it was a must to eat there. So I did. The food here is outstanding. I had the veal chop this time transcendent. My friend had the tuna tartare, or charred tuna she offered a bite and it was fantastic. The bread.... a round p...

Atmosphere
I would recommend dining on the first floor if possible. The stairs to the third floor are very steep and it got pretty warm in that dining room too.

A hidden gem on Restaurant Row! Been a regular diner there for 12 years! Never a had a bad experience! Consistently excellent! A great dining experience on every level!

Lovely tavern, great service and the food was delish! Welcoming staff and owner stopped by to chat and make sure we were happy. Got us well-fed and quite happy before heading to see Westside Story and it turned out to be the last performance before Broadway shut down heeding COVID-19 warnings. I recommend the Glass Tavern!
