"This is a great little grocery store with the friendliest employees! Prepared food to go, Starbucks and Wahl Burgers too! Wahl Burgers has a full bar. Excellent bakery and meat/seafood counters. La Quercia has its own section! Excellent beer, wine, spirits selection. I am here on business, working the holiday , staying at the Hilton. I always recommend this fantastic store to my fellow flight crew members, and I ALWAYS stop by when I'm in DSM for exceptional customer service and provisions!"

Whenever I am in need of something last minute, I always find myself at Hyvee. While it may not be the most well-organized place, it gets the job done.

I have lived away from Des Moines for several years. I have never found any other grocery store comparable to Hy Vee, and I have experienced many grocery stores in many states HyVee is the best grocery store, hands down, from any state!! I miss Hy Vee and Anderson Erickson dairy more than I can ever say!!! They are the absolute best in grocery and dairy than any state I've ever lived in and visited!!

We have lived downtown for two years and chose our apartment because we could walk to the store. But now there are NO shopping carts. This makes the store not good for us. We need to be able to use a cart. You must have this available for us elderly and handicapped. I guess I will be going out to Pricechopper as they are elderly friendly, carts available. Even if you hid the carts and we had to ask, that would be helpful. Extremely disappointed
