"I was heading back to the ferry from a project in Connecticut when I realized I had a choice of putting the pedal to the meta and hoping to make the 12:15 ferry to Port Jeff, or stop for lunch and take the 1:45. I opted for the latter. So I 've been on a BBQ kick for a while, but Joey C 's has cured me for a while. I got there about 12 and found plenty of parking. Walked in and found a table right away. So far so good right. Well I ordered a BBQ BRISKET platter which came with two sides. Unfortunately they were out of my first picks so I had to settle. On the table is a bucket with knives and forks. Just pick out what you want. Hmmmm OK. Roll of paper towels hanging off the side of the tabl...

Food is good, but their website is challenging to use in terms of ordering. Submitted an order for pickup and received a confirmation number... When I arrived at the restaurant they weren't aware of the order so I had the pleasure of sitting on a bench and waiting.

Loved this food!!! Classic bbq place with a wide variety of meats and southern sides. We were supposed to go to Dinosaur BBQ in Stamford but we're so hungry we decided to stop by here and I'm glad we did. For 5 of us we ordered the BBQ Feast for 4 and the 1/2 a chicken platter and boy oh boy was that enough for all of us to eat!!

I have been here a number of times for dinner, always found the food quite good. Service was spotty a few times but lately has been good as well. The BBQ I have had here was really good. The burgers are very good here and they are my favorite on the menu. They are cooked to order, nicely portioned and very tasty. Parking here is usually not a problem, location is convenient. Unfortunately I think they are closing or moving soon.
