"Day of excursion in the volcanic Eifel. At noon we stopped in Gerolstein and strolled through the town. It should be a little bit, but no fritusen ready food. Nothing really jumped our eyes. Ultimately, at Rondell shopping centre, the bistro “In Flecken” made the race. Outside nice seating, but it was quite cool. We looked inside. Much was no longer going on at the late noon, but the tables are not yet cleared by the previous guests. So we got room outside. Friendlyly, the sun decided to have some sun rays and there was no shower. Service: A young employee welcomed us kindly and handwritten menus and drinks. Ordinary handwriting, but nowadays rather unusual. Nonetheless, a balanced mixture is given here. For everyone. Our food came after a pleasant waiting period for freshly prepared dishes. Unfortunately, a meal had to go back. The staff was enthusiastic (of course not, but a completely fresh meal was prepared without any condition. It is known: You can also win customers through good complaint processing. Attention, kindness, waiting times for drinks and food – all ok. The decision of the dressing for the supplement salad was not asked, but decided by the kitchen. Food and drink: The bistro also offers various treats such as vinegar, oils and spices. This is pointed out in the menu and you can use in-house dressings for example in salads. We decided to: Dry Rieslingschorle (BIO Riesling according to map. 0.2 l, as I see at the time of writing, were charged with “Riesling trocken” to € 4.10!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, but this will be reflected in the price performance ratio. Very expensive mineral water. And the 1 food went back, I'm not sorry anymore. My husband chose to eat: potato roast with fresh mushrooms at € 7.90 and a supplement salad at € 3.50. The salad was served in advance as desired. Beautiful fresh ingredients (iceberg salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, red and yellow peppers, spring onions and radians. Fine! Potato roast was served. 1 freshly sprinkled roast of not too lush size. Nice fried mushrooms. And the scent: bacon! There are bacon lovers and their haters! We both belong to the 2nd category, so the exchange of food also fails. Undesired and unremarked addition to the roast: roasted hammock. Inconvenient (because we prefer to eat food rather than let my husband go back to the court. But if he did, he would have eaten it only with reluctance. I had time with my already served Mediterranean peasant salad at € 7.90. I had chosen the hearty dressing with tomatoes balm vinegar and tomato oil. It couldn't get cold here. Fresh ingredients: iceberg salad, tomatoes, paprika, abundant green and black olives, tuna, little crushed feta cheese, feta cheese. Compared to apricot dressing, the hearty dressing was little hearty. For this, 4 small pieces of baguette. On request I received another 4 smaller baguettes (without calculation). My husband's roasting court has been reserved in the meantime. The fresh roasting nicely chewed. Champignons roasted, well seasoned and refined with fresh spring onions. Nicely dressed, scattered with bruschetta spice, but nevertheless as a portion alone quite little. Ambience and cleanliness: interior modern and well maintained... except for the uncleared tables. Beautiful outdoor seating with convenient seating without decoration and deck. Toilets were not visited. Conclusion: 3 – if it results again! (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely back to kitchen trip ."
