"We were more often in Pizzeria Dato in Mainz Hechtsheim. Often, when we come to Mainz, we will arrive there. The pizza was always very good and it was always quite fast. Today we came to Pizzeria at 13:30 a.m., which was opened until 14:00 a.m. We thought the kitchen was open until 14:00. I wondered if a table was free for two people (and there were many tables free. I could order a pizza. Are you eating in the car? I have to say that this has never happened to me. That was certainly our last visit to Dato today. Too bad, but you don't have to let everything go. That doesn't sound like that. Unfortunately, you have to give a star..."

"Vorweg: wir bestellen immer nur zum Abholen, da uns die Atmosphere der Einrichtung etwas zu unterkühlt ist. Das trifft aber keinesfalls auf die Mitarbeiter zu, die immer mit italienischem Charme und guter Laune bedienen.Die Pizzen sind sehr lecker aber der wirkliche Knüller sind die Tagesgerichte, z. Bsp. Perlhuhnbrust oder selbstgemachte Pasta.Schliesse mich den vorherigen Bewertungen an: die Speisekarte sollte überarbeitet werden, da sie den Anschein erweckt, dass es sich um eine 0/8/15 Pizzeria handelt. Dem ist nicht so, da man hier auch wirklich tolle, tagesfrische Gerichte bekommt."

"In Ginsheim am Yachthafen, da wo die gelbe Fähre übersetzt zur Insel, befindet sich dieses nette Café. Wir waren schon 3 mal da innerhalb kürzester Zeit. Mal haben wir einen Spaziergang auf der Rheininsel gemacht oder wir sind mit dem Rad vorbeigefahren. Die Kuchenauswahl ist sehr gut, der Kaffee wunderbar und die selbstgemachten Eissorten soooo lecker. Letztes Mal wählte ich das Eis des Monats: Zitrone/Basilikum. Yummie. Der junge Service gibt sich alle Mühe, das man sich wirklich wohl fühlt."

"First, it's way off the beaten path and if you don't know Mainz....pull out the GPS. It's on the far south end of the city. Parking within the property is limited to five or six cars, so prepare to find a place along the street. As for the garden, it is a very well landscaped garden area with umbrellas and a terrific place to entertain friends or clients. Food is absolutely Sicilian in nature and the staff are the BEST that you will find in any Mainz restaurant. Authentic dishes....great salad....decent wine list. Pricing reasonable. Reservations are probably mandatory for Friday or Saturday evening. Would strongly recommend the place but it's nowhere near the river front and about tens minutes from the autobahn."
