"Food is solid here. I ordered fried catfish, oxtails, collard greens, and candied yams. The catfish was wonderful. Spiced really well and cooked perfectly. It was delish. Oxtails though, those stole the show for me. They were so tender. The gravywas seasoned perfectly and just tasted so good. The candied yams were some of the best I've ever had. Absolutely loved them. Iwasn't a huge fan of the collard greens. They were just too salty for me. My biggest gripe about the restaurant is how dirtythe kitchen seemed to be. The kitchen is out on the main floor where you walk in. And it doesn't look like it's been cleaned inyears. Gives a bad first impression when eating there. Food was good, but pr...

Absolutely delicious! I had catfish, which was spiced and cooked to perfection. When we walked in we were offerer a taste of some of the best gumbo I have ever tasted. I definitely will be back to enjoy more of the menu selections

Food nasty! Attitude NASTY, got catfish dinner w greens macaroni. Fish was black/burnt old. Greens were HORRIBLE ???? only reason deserves one star the macaroni was decent. Store hours were until 6pm, she had to close early by 4. I rush to try forfirst time regretted it. For 1 she added her own taxes to make plate a good $18, it shows on menu catfish plate was about $5cheaper. As she?s fixing my plate she licking her fingers eating food at same time. Then when I give her $20 was waiting onmy change she just put in her tip jar herself. Just Rude, will never come back, not worth it at all.

I chose to visit this gem on Easter Sunday for the first time. I was really impressed with the way Mrs.Pam and her family/ staff greeted me. Like many others I too was offered a sample of her gumbo before deciding my order. She explained her entire buffetline to me . She was very pleasant ?? and full of good energy. I ordered the oxtail over rice(which she kindly allowed me asample of too), macaroni, yams, kool-aid , and cornbread. Everything was delicious and soulful. The oxtail literally were sotender that they fell off the bone. The plate size was large enough to share with another adult and you'd both get full. Willtry her again in the future.
