"This place is pricey so it's obviously not every day dining especially since they are probably fully booked for the foreseeable future. Give them a call after 5pm Tues- Fri. Maybe to see about a reservation. We tried calling leaving voice mails eventually stopped in to make a reservation in person. They had a cancelation so we were lucky... boy were we! The service was great, the view was great, the local fare was phenomenal. Chef Collette is really great not just for a small Alaskan town but as a chef in general. We travel all over the world eat well as we do. If you can get a reservation fit it into your budget I say go to Ludvig's."

Great place next to the science museum. Delicious sandwiches and chowder!!! Outdoor seating you can watch planes take off and land. Highly recommend. Cute gift shop too.

an incredible culinary experience that should be a prerequisite when visiting sitka. although only seasonal open, this restaurant follows a long list of reasons why they should visit in summer sitka. eating is amazing, service is impeccable and ambiente is fantastic. Do not forget to make a reservation! you will not regret it.

the Tuscan scallops are amazing. the skalopp itself is fresh, crispy outside and juicy inside. but the important part is the soße. the sauce has taste layers. it begins with a little salty taste of the speck and sour (can be from the lemon) then follows the sweet of the scallops and ends with a little taste of butter. very tasteful, but very balanced. in comparison to the skalopps, the paella mixta is less impressive. I think the flavors were somewhat too strong and covered the original taste of different seafood.
