"The food is ALWAYS fresh and worth waiting. Great portions and great prices. The staff is super personal and ready to help if you need anything. Definitely best to get a menu. The online menu does not cover everything you need to offer. My Faves are the Matarazzo Burger and Sweet Potato Pommes w/ Cinnamon and Icing, the Chicken Salad with cranberries and almonds, the Honey Bbq Chicken Sub and GINORMOUS 16 Stromboli glasses. If you have to. If you want a meal that fills and you will last, this is the place."

The best Stromboli in the area. Waiting is crazy sometime. I wish they had better hours, but I feel when we're in the mood for Matarazzo, they're closed.

We had stopped ordering from here a few years ago because the food quality went on the hill, but on the other day we had a small meeting and decided to give them another attempt, and we are glad we did! The pizza was really good and cheesy! And the wigs were brilliant and full of taste! Everybody enjoyed it! Matarazzos is on top of our list again!

Love her Yankee Slammer Burger, both my husband and I will order a with mild devil friars! We also enjoy the mild freshly cut chicken bites, just wishing they were a bit more saucy. One opportunity there were some mistakes made, and they were very apologetic to make the situation right. Girls at the bar are always polite on pickup. Take a cookie on your way!

"After Kit Dwight and I wandered about Steamtown, National Park Service Historic Site for 2+ hours we visited our First Pizza Joint of the Lackawanna County Pizza Trail. After perusing the menu and getting some recommendations from one of the owner 's, Darrel... We decided to try one of their Gourmet Pizzas, the Italian Stallion . It 's made with fresh dough, crushed tomato sauce,topped with pepperoni, sausage, prosciutto, sopppressata, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil added after baking. The pizza was huge, the crust was crispy with it 's fair share of fluffy outer ring, thin with considerable flop for the first inch or so of the center tips... Knife and fork was necessary to eat that portion and the rest could be folded for eating the rest of the slice. All ingredients were top shelf, the toppings were delicious and all of it melded well to make it a pleasure to eat. The right amount of spiciness from the sauce, buttery with good texture of the melted cheese and the seasoning was well balanced. "We called them at 715 pm and asked to order for a party of 5 so that we could pickup by 740 pm since the person on the phone said they wouldn't take our order for dine in at 740 pm. However, we were refused service and flat out told that our order will not be taken even for pickup. Not sure why they say their closing time is 8 pm if they are closing out sooner for all practical purposes. Clearly the manager of the restaurant doesnt want business to come here. The positive reviews are likely fake."

"the food was very good! the cocktails were also. we sat on the bar, and we were quickly greeted and drinks came immediately. it was a busy weekend and just a bartender for the entire restaurant, so I hate to criticize the bartender. but my men's meal was not as he ordered it, and one side was completely absent. he was also charged for the substituting pasta for kartoffeln and was not told that this would be the case, and finally, when we tried to order another round of drinks, we were told that there were others commanding us, we had to wait, and that is what they get to eat at the bar. as I said, eating was very good, but we will not visit soon."

"I'm officially obsessed. After the attempt of COUNTLESS Pizzeria joints in the area we felt our happiness, but at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday (they are at 8) we called in an order for a Sicilian and round; considering that it was so close to the closing time, we were completely ready to be abandoned as we have been for many months. I couldn't have been wrong, and now I can't be happier and grateful that we stumbled over this place. The staff are so nice and personal; even under the chaos of a Friday evening full house, a gentleman who made pizza on the back even went to check me if he thought I had not yet helped (i had), the pizza was fantastic both times, tonight I ordered some meatballs for the children. BEST MEATBALLS IVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Hands down, this place is the diamond in the rough, super close home, but I would travel to the city no problem. After two knocking experiences, we will definitely try more from the menu next week. Kiss, mwah."
