"Mission BBQ Chesapeake has always been our go-to for our family. Our son turned 5 years old and he chose Mission BBQ for his birthday lunch. We came in with Balloons/gifts for him. We did not bring a cake because were doing that later at home. We were greeted as soon as we walked into the building. Ordered our food and as we are sitting down, we were greeted by a young woman. She interacted with our son as if it was one of her own. She played with him, told him happy birthday several times throughout the lunch. My sister, friend, and I shared the three-meat plate at the restaurant. We chose pork, wet brisket, and pulled chicken. We also shared some fries. The ribs were really good and the meat was delicious. The food is definitely the best I've ever had. I first tried Mission Barbecue in Annapolis, MD, and the restaurant in Chesapeake, VA was just as excellent.

This was my first time here and it was obvious from the amazing service and food! The prices were reasonable, especially considering how expensive food can be in general. Darlene was super friendly and helpful in guiding us, and Miss Robyin did a great job explaining the menu. First impressions are important, and I was impressed by their support for service members. Overall, it was a great first visit and I can't wait to go back soon! I hope they expand to Suffolk soon.
