"Nestico's has always been one of my favorite restaurants. Very good food at a reasonable price. The wait staff has always been hit or miss. This time it was average. She did seem to be in a hurry. However, this review of my visit on 12/8/21 is not about the good food, it's about the bar charges. I had two Johnny Walker scotch on the rocks. When I get my bill, there is a $1 surcharge for each drink for ICE!! I asked the waitress why there is a charge for ice. She said So they can achieve the two fingers pour of liquor'. When I bartended, a two finger pour was about 2 ounces. Pour the liquor then add the ice (if requested). Not ice first then measure the two fingers. What this tells me is tha...

My favorite Italian restaurant in Syracuse! The pasta pie is a must, as are the Utica Greens (ask for extra hot cherry peppers Friendly service, cozy vibe. I’ve been going here for 20 years whenever I’m in the area!

We are from the west coast of Florida and have had the pleasure of dining here a couple of times with friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine but especially liked their Utica greens. What a surprise then to receive an ample serving of Utica greens delivered via a friend from the proprietor!! They are delicious and we can’t thank them enough!

Friendly, cozy atmosphere focused on Italian food. We started out with Utica Green 10.99) and Calamari 13.99) for starters. Both were satisfying with dinners coming soon after we finished. Four dishes Tenderlion Marsala 25.00), Bolognese 16.00), Veal Parm 17.00) and Scallops with Asparagus 26.00). Dinners were well prepared, perfect dinner sizes. The Bolognese was outstanding! There was a mix of couples, families and large parties at the restaurant. Service was attentive and friendly. The wine list I felt could be better. We settled on Coppola Rosso 33.00). Looking forward to returning again.
