"We enjoyed authentic German food, and there was plenty of it. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. I would have given the restaurant a rating of 5, if it were not for the very disappointing end, when we had to pay the bill. They refused to accept our credit cards (we tried to offer several) with the argument, that they don't accept Danish credit cards. Are they allowed to do that while claiming that they for example accept VISA? It was very, very disappointing to us, and we all had to cash in to pay the bill (a bit embarrassing to me, because I wanted to pay)."

Great place for cal liver, steak, salads, family restaurant, warm friendly service. Highly recommend, always high quality and top satisfaction.

We love to go to this restaurant!! The food is delicious; the service is excellent. The ambiente is beautiful. We recommend it to all the people who are visiting Ahrweiler.

We had a great meal here on second night in the town - wish we had found on our first night! Both meals were perfectly cooked - steak and pork. The pork came with delicious German style potatoes. The restaurant is quite small and in an interesting old building. Staff were friendly and efficient. There are also a few tables out the front if the weather is nice. Would revisit if we come to the area again.
