"Nougatine at Jean Georges is a great choice for a pre-show dinner near Lincoln Center. Our server was friendly once he went beyond the scripted greeting. The early evening views of Columbus Circle were enjoyable. The crab cake appetizer was delicious, but unfortunately the salmon was overcooked. The selection of wines by the glass was impressive. The amuse bouche before the meal consisted of asparagus in a crispy panko crust with a tangy lemon sauce. The French fries were too salty. The highlight of the meal was the always fantastic warm Valrhona chocolate cake for dessert. We plan to return, as despite a few flaws, our overall experience was nearly perfect."

Excellent service and experience. The food was great, but the dessert was exceptional. Definitely a wonderful special occasion restaurant.

I thought I had made a reservation for 12:30, but it was actually for 12. It was either my mistake or a mix-up when I entered the time. As a result, I missed out on indoor seating, but the staff quickly found a solution for me. However, the service was slow and it was noisy outdoors.
