"While on our trip to New England, one evening we drove to Bangor from Bar Harbor just to eat at Paddy Murphy's. One of my wife's friends recommended it from her trip to Maine a few years ago. As it turns out, it was worth the trip. The parking situation was terrible but we finally found a spot. It comes across as a real Irish Pub with a great selection of beers and other drinks but the menu has a lot more variety than what you'd find in most Irish pubs. Had a day out with my son and we decided to stop in for lunch. The atmosphere was idealistic for a neighborhood Irish pub. Crowded but comfortable. A fiddle player sat in the corner filling the room with beautiful music. The busy servers greeted us with a smile (we could see it even though they were masked). They created such a relaxed environment. The food was delicious. We even stayed for a piece of apple pie and cobbler. Thanks for helping us create a wonderful memory. Merry Christmas

paddy murphy’s irish pub is one of my favorite spots in bangor. it is a small, cozy pub along the inner city strip. in the interior you will find a beautiful wood bar, beautiful wood stand with comfortable benches and a personal full of friendly, welcoming people. the Irish music and the great beer have always put me in good spirit. eating is really great. I recommend the fried pickles. the veggie burger is top-notch and the French fries are perfectly crispy and deliciously seasoned. whatever they order at the end, they should try one of the local beers they have on tap!
