"Honestly, at this point it's my fault for coming here as often as I have. Panera Bread has one of the best tomato soups out there so when I feel bad I come here for that comfort food. At least 2x a year since this Panera came to Waterford, I've gotten the tomato soup and Every. Single. Time I've found plastic in it. Each time I find it in my mouth I pull it out, certain that this time it's probably just tomato skin, but nope. Plastic. The second time it happened I just happened to be eating in the restaurant so I showed the manager, let them know it happened before and all she did was ask if I wanted another bowl of soup. The 2nd time this happened should have been enough given the fact that the piece of plastic I pulled out of my mouth was about 8 inches long and about 3 inches wide when I unraveled it . But then time goes by, I forget, then one day I don't feel great and just want tomato soup. The other day it happened again and I'm fed up. Don't get their tomato soup guys, it's just not worth it. And before someone asks me, yes this is definitely plastic and not tomato skin. At least this time around the pieces are smaller so I didn't choke like the time before."

"food was greasy and bland. I spent $75 tonight on take out and highly disappointed given the great reviews this place had. The sweet and sour chicken was the most decent thing we got out of 5 entrees, a soup, and three appetizers. The hot and sour soup tasted like chemicals and didn’t make it past the first bite, and the wonton strips were stale. Hunan chicken was bland, vegetables cooked great but for a spicy dish there was zero spice and wasn’t very good. Vegetable mei fun was decent but had an overwhelming fishy taste. Chicken with curry sauce again no spice and very bland. Egg/spring rolls/ cream cheese wonton were super greasy and no flavor at all. Beef lo mein, wasn’t even sure if that was beef or not, noodles were overcooked and mushy. White rice was good at least. Over all the meal left a bad taste in our mouths, I won’t order here again. Six happiness and Chopstix so far have had the best Asian American food in Leland/wilmington. Save your time, money, and stomach, go elsewhere. Customer service was pleasant though. All my years of working with pan- Asian food this was really disappointing given the high reviews."

"my man and I had breakfast here before I came back to the middle west. our server was a very friendly and informative young man who felt welcome to us, although it was a busy Sunday morning. I had the speck portobello benedict with broken kartoffeln as my side. the posing eggs were made perfect, the portobello cut thin and grilled. had served it on an English muffin instead of the white brot it usually comes. my man had the rinderhasch. he thought it was excellent, as it was about slices of maisbeef on the crisp grilled potato. there were no complaints from us and when we return to liveland, we will eat here again!"

"Great supplement to the Leland healthy food choices. Love the Triple Berry Oat Smoothie and Thai and Jerk Chicken selection on the menu. Very light, open, clean. Friendly, competent staff. Good value and always consistent, whether in Leland, Wilmington or Porters Neck... and I tried them all: Very recommended for lunch, after training, really at any time. I hear they have a good breakfast, but I'm not so early, or I'd try something out of these choices."

"The Cape Fear seafood company provides a relaxed and casual environment to enjoy some local seafood. The reservation system online is easy to use and navigate. I called later in the day to change my reservation to see if they had anything earlier and they were able to accommodate me. The restaurant is nicely decorated with some local art and is kept very clean and orderly. The food was good however, given the price point it could?ve been a little bit better regarding some of the items. My meal was the broiled seafood platter. The mussels would have been better served with a sauce or a cream over them to maintain their moisture. By the end of the meal, the mussels that I had not eaten had turned into the consistency of a pencil eraser as they dried out. The shrimp and scallops while cooked perfectly, were somewhat oversalted/seasoned. The white fish on the broiled platter was honestly the best fish I have ever had anywhere, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The risotto while flavorful, was slightly overcooked. The asparagus was well undercooked for my liking. However, my wife felt the asparagus with her meal was appropriately cooked. I tasted her asparagus and compared and they were cooked to different levels. My wife ordered the Blackened Salmon. She and I both agreed that the Salmon was appropriately seasoned and was cooked to order. She experienced the same issue that I did with the risotto being slightly overcooked. We ordered an appetizer of fried okra which was exceptionally good. The fried okra appears to be handmade on-site and is cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a nice meal and I recommend this restaurant."
