My family waited for our food for over 1.5 hours before we gave up and left. Other people who came after us were served long before us. Don't take your kids here. My children did well for the first hour of waiting, but they finally lost it. I still tipped the waitress because she was nice, but no word from the owner/manager. He was facing us stone. Unfortunately, we will not be back even though we live on site and love Indian food.

This restaurant serves delicious food. If you dine inside the place (at least during the pandemic), you'll need to show proof of vaccination against Covid, so you don't have to worry about putting your health at risk. We usually order the chicken tikka masala, shrimp korma and sides of papadum (crisp lentil-based wafer) and tarka dal (garlic flavored lentils). If you order take-out on weekend evenings, call early. The order can take quite a while.

I lived in Jackson Heights, Queens for years, known as "the place for going Indian food in NYC. I knew some people from Manhattan who would come to this quarter of Queens, especially for authentic Indian cuisine. I moved to this area years ago and came to Red Hook Curry House for a long time as I remember. I never had a bad meal here. In fact, I'd eat here about any Jackson Heights restaurant where I ate.
