Restaurant Walliserkanne

Delicious food, a delightful service and a warm atmosphere made this an unforgettable dinner before you see the fireworks in the village. This family restaurant is never disappointed and managed by Hotel Allalin.

We stayed in the hotel, ended up having dinner 2 times in the Walliserkanne, experiencing 6 different menus between us. ALL were truly fantastic! There is a daily menu, you can choose between 3 or all 5 courses, and having 2 options for the main 3. But there is also a la carte with super good options. The Gruyere chicken and the fish were outstanding, but veal liver was too as well. Being only 2 adults we went for the house white wine (0.5l very pleasant as well. Great friendly service! One small remarque: the “plateau valaisanne” entre, is saying to have cold cuts and cheese on the menu, however it only came with coldcuts. Excellent service, very friendly welcome at our arrival, much patience to explain the food to two Italian couples. Many attention to the guest, without invasive. Very nice manners. The food was prepared with care and very tasty. We have carpaccio with some sauces and nuts, duck breast and lamb fillet. All were very good. We made the compliments to the cook, through the waitress, and we discovered that the chiefs were Italians and they were very sad, because England just ranked to Italy in the European Cup final.
