"Rim Tung is a small Thai restaurant at the very top of Markt Strasse in Bad Tolz. My wife and I ate there last week. The barman/waiter was very friendly and spoke good English. We shared a plate of Wan Tun to start, they were light tasty and very crispy, just right. My wife then had the fried egg noodles with chicken and prawns she enjoyed it very much and said it was lovely but the portion was too big to finish. I had the Thai yellow chicken curry with boiled rice, it was very good and there was plenty of it. Durch eine Freundin sind wir darauf aufmerksam geworden. Sind oft in Thailand und lieben die asiatische Küche. Konzept ist gut gemacht. Aussuchen, vorgehen,bestellen und abholen.Die Idee liegt darin, weniger Personal, dadurch qualitativeres essen. Das zum Thema der Nörgler hier, kein Personal blablabla... Die Currys und die Nudeln waren ausgesprochen gut und das Gemüse frisch. Da kommen einem Reisesehnsüchte hoch.Der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich und auf Trapp. Nur zu empfehlen !!!

unverständlich, wie das Lokal als Restaurant beurteilt werden kann. Wenn ich Selbstbedienung möchte, gehe ich in einen Schnellimbiss oder ein Einkaufszentrum. Da wir erst nach "Studium" der Speisekarte und dem Verhalten des Personals merkten, dass die 12 Schritte wie man zum Essen kommt, ernst gemeint sind, zogen wir es vor, das Lokal wieder zu verlassen ohne etwas zu konsumieren! Dabei wurden wir von einem Mitarbeiter (?) oder Gast (?) mit den Worten begleitet "es scheint ihnen zu beschwerlich zu sein..."wir wollten zu Abend essen

It would be easy to walk past this restuarant and think it was empty. We almost did but were glad we went in. The restaurant had a warm and cosy atmosphere. The waiter was very helpful and gave us the menu in english. All the food we ordered was very tasty, if a little less hot than British standards, but delicious none the less. The waiter advised us on how many plates to order and said we could order more if we were still hungry. The food came out quickly and was certainly enough for 4 (we would probably have ordered excess if the waiter hadn't helped). Please do visit as it is a relaxing venue and good value for money.
