"Kulinarisch sehr gut und schön urig dekoriert. Leider in der Regel von Holländern überflutet, sodass für deutsche kein Platz mehr ist und man gelegentlich sogar auf Englisch abgewiesen wird. Telefonische Erreichbarkeit ist praktisch nicht gegeben. Mittlerweile gehe ich auch nicht mehr hin, wenn man nicht erwünscht ist und man lieber mit lärmenden Holländern anbandelt, unterstütze ich lieber andere lokale Restaurants. Sehr schade. Sollte irgendwann wieder Platz für Ortsansässige Kundschaft sein, würde ich vielleicht wieder hin gehen."

"This place is right at the main market square, in view of the castle. If it looks crowded, there's lots of space in the back, yet you won't get to see the environs from there. The place was relatively busy, and almost every table looked...like it was occupied by groups of friends, or by couples, all in the age range. Obviously this is a very coarse approximation, but you get the idea: apparently it's not damaging to your streed cred to be seen here. Service was rather rapid and friendly, even though the place was bustling. I require a gluten free diet for medical reasons, and fortunately the menu had clearly labeled allergy information, so there was no problem detecting which dishes were gluten free and which weren't. There weren't many gluten free options straight from the menu, but one of them was just what I wanted, so I didn't bother asking whether I could request changes to other dishes. There were many local dishes, by which I mean that many ingredients were specified as being from the direct vicinity of Mayen and it's surrounding villages. Normally, if you think about German cuisine, you might think about thick sauce and inelegant chunks of meat here, though, there were also choices that involved stacks of grilled vegetables, and other possibly more healthy options. Food was quite good, and not expensive at all. I checked the cheap eats box, but this was in no way a budget eatery. They just didn't ask for much money. In all, I can recommend this place if you're in Mayen. Not the best or most excuisite restaurant in the world, but definitely satisfactory, with good food"

"the food was very good and had a lot tast. the staff is very friendly and the owners are also from Greece. it is not far from the nürburgring, and the roads along the way are very beautiful and twisted. next time back! χαριστώ πολύ!"

"An evening in Mayen and this time it's Italian. The atmosphere was pleasant, sitting out in the Market Square and lots of locals dining alongside. The food was good, simply presented and served by pleasant staff. Our lack of German language skills was not an...issue here and we enjoyed our evening."

"on Easter Monday we came hungry from the swimming pool and wanted to go to mayen for something to eat. Unfortunately, it was no longer directly on the midday so some locations already. on the way to home we saw this little pizzeria or rather dönergrill. after a few meters we could park at the ranch of the road and walked a few steps. when we entered we were greeted and we first looked at the big map. we order a lasagne, a kaminazone al forno and a small part pommes. we took two doses of drinking from the refrigerator. a little further back there were some tables where we took a place. the others were too small or occupied by the driver. the chairs and benches had their best times. also the walls and the rest of the inventory must be urgently renovated and renewed. I asked the hired after two glasses, one of them was totally dirty. after a little time eating came along with a small basket in which 4 pizza rolls lay. the food tasted in the average. in the lasgne one could look for the chop meat that is suitable for oysters, but it did not find much. here you could say that the starving is driving. 18 € to eat on the counter. back? no thanks! has absolutely not promised us about the environment. should be urgently renovated."
