"This apparently is the number 2 restaurant in Vevey. It's an interesting place because we left with somewhat mixed feelings. When we entered the restaurant we noted that it was tiny the chairs and tables were so close to each other that I was afraid I would have to dine with 20 (if this number even fits in) other guests. In a way I did not notice because I am not a French speaker, meaning that I was isolated from the other conversations. If I would have been able to speak French though, I am afraid my experience would be worse. The waitress was kind but also made an impression she was either overrun by all the work to be done (she was the only one welcoming, taking orders, serving food, and so on) or forgot things due to age. Not everything we ordered was actually served. In terms of what was served, I must note that the steak was perfect! In terms of sides though, I would almost call it sad. I can prepare a more interesting salad myself at home and somehow I find fries too easy to serve in a restaurant. Adding it all up I would go here again. I am not sure about it being the second best in the whole of Vevey. Yes the food was tasty but not superb and therefore a bit expensive for what you get. The service was not that good and the overall restaurant was very very small."

"Found Swagat just by chance on the Internet and weren't we glad! Absolutely awesome restaurant in every aspect! Sumptuous, finger licking food! Excellent, professional yet superbly friendly service. Super comfortable ambience. Very well located and easy to find for visitors in Vevey! Great value for money! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Hope to visit again...Zug visitors on Friday, April 15, 2022"

"Absolutely loved it here. The place is beautiful, nice crowd too. The service was great, both guys were really nice and attentive. I was recommended the burger because of this special beef to I went for it and it was the best burger of life lol! My friend had the pasta and said it was amazing, 10/10. Will definitely be coming back!"

"Lovely terrace outside, but facing the road, and that 's ok as the traffic is not disturbing, but it 's a shame as the restaurant is in a nice little village, therefore a little bit more greenery would be welcome. Service was slow, despite a restaurant that was half full on the terrace (empty inside). Carre ' de veau was ok, gigot was not juicy and pink, but obviously undercooked and too tough, the homard was bitter and poorly prepared, soaking in an overpowering borderline unedible bisque. We openly said this to the chef when he came out to meet the patrons (not sure why, as we are not talking about a celebrity chef and I hope he was not waiting for an hurrah! for his food) and what we got back was a shrug, this is how we do it, was the response. More unsure then on why he came out of the kitchen. We are very well familiar with Swiss prices (we live in Vevey), but a bill of more than 320 chf for this dinner was not worth the trip."
