I had to wait for a table until 5:00. there was no compensation for these inconveniences. my waitress taylor was great. she made the unpleasant experience tolerable with her wonderful feeling of the venerable and incessant desire to please me from any obstacle beyond her control. taylor is the reason why I don't have an even lower rating."

"We chose this restaurant from Open Table. Upon arrival I said I had a reservation on Open Table. They said they were not on Open Table. I showed them my reservation. They were still confused and said someone would call them. We ordered Spaghetti Marinara that had so much sauce on it you could barely find the pasta. It was inedible. We ordered garlic bread which was unusual and hard. We ordered side salads and another pasta and chicken dish. We left almost all our food uneaten. Worst dining experience we’ve ever had on Open Table."

"This is by far the best place to get real, authentic NY-style pizza and Italian food in the surrounding DMV area. We’ve been coming to Mama Roma’s for years and the food quality stays consistent. A few months ago we took our first covid trip up and ordered two pizzas and bruschetta (we live in Northern VA and the trip is so worth it). The food came out perfectly. Our recent trip to Mama Roma’s was this past Saturday. It was booming with people, luckily we got an outside table. (They still do drive up pick-up, which is super convenient) We ordered two pies, Chicken Parm, salad, and a Cannoli for dessert…again, the food was incredible! I HIGHLY suggest if you are in the area, or feel like taking a road trip for really good pizza/Italian food, head up to Mama Roma’s…you will not be disappointed!"

"First visit was great, looking forward to going back to this local neighborhood gem. Place has great atmosphere and character, you can tell they care about their food and have been there a long time which reinforces they must care about the quality. They are also very serious about their bourbon though I was there for lunch not a buzz. I got an order of chicken wings and they were great, cooked correctly with a good dry rub. The rub was a little too sweet for me, but they have a nice selection of barbecue sauces (pic) that I enjoyed trying. Cream of crab was great, I liked the corn in it. Brisket Reuben sandwich was fantastic but it was not served with and thousand Island dressing. I should have asked for some on the side."

"I would give my experience about 3.7 stars but partial stars are not available on Google and I feel that 4 stars is fair. I honestly had not heard about this establishment until my mom's selected for dinner. The décor and ambience grab your attention as soon as you walk. It was a bit chilly during our meal but we sat by the fireplace, thinking it would be cozy but actually ate with a slight draft due to this decision. Our server was an attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant woman with a long brown ponytail; whose name I believe started with the S. We started with the crab dip and 2 cups of Maryland crab soup alongside the bread first served. The crab dip was salty and the salt on the pita made it saltier but the flavor was so good that I ate most of it with the steady supply of water the server kept coming. Others at the table tried it as well but chose not to have anymore after their initial taste. #MoreForMe I personally did not try the crab soup but the table had mixed reviews. One person said that it was good and it's good and someone else said that it tasted like Campbell's soup with crab meat in it. "
