"great kitchen, great aromas, great worth and huge portions! we started with a girolles mushroom risotto and a warm goateee salat we had planned to share. our waitress suggested that we had 1/2 portions with which I was reluctantly confiscated; but did not need...as the arrived portions were both delicious and generous (the risotto, the more interesting and tasty of the two, and very strongly recommended.) in order to follow, we had the filet of sandra (a fleshy white fish) from the sea, and howner carved both delicious and far greater portion than each of us could finish our little glazed....and none of us is excellent!"

"one of the best culinary experiences I had in Switzerland, the hotel restaurant de l’ours exemplary service, makes its guests like a license (no matter what age! and is really must visit place to eat when they are in the region bern, fribourg, neuchatel or payerne. the quality and presentation of the food is on another level, even more special by the excellent service staff who expects our needs, but also their removal. you can see the pride of the staff in their work, no detail too small, no snobbery, only exemplary service coupled with exemplary food. we may have felt like fish from the water, but the personal has welcomed us and greatly contributed to our pleasant positive culinary experience. the chorizo salad with parmesan is for dying, how the perfectly boiled lamb chops with rosmarin and baked vegetables must be tried! this is a fine restaurant that is made even more special by the people who work and serve there. I highly recommend this place for a romantic lunch/night, a meal with friends and family or business talks about a meal. tip: please to check their wine cellars!"

"This is a nice restaurant located right along the eastern shore of the lake, with lovely views of the lake and mountains. The atmosphere is relaxed and it’s suitable for children. There are plenty of public (for a fee) parking spaces nearby. The prices are in the middle-high range. The restaurant evidently fills up quickly in high season so consider reserving a table, especially if you want to sit outside. There is a good selection of dishes to suit all kinds of tastes. I had the traditional Flammekuchen and it was crispy and overall quite delicious. Our waiter A. however was less than warm or personable, and for that reason I deducted a star from this rating"
