So many folks recommended this place while we were cycling as THE place if you 're vegan that we went without doing any homework. Our expectations were very high and therefore it was disappointing. First of all we didn 't realize it wasn 't a sit-down restaurant. I 'd describe it as a bakery with take out food. There 's a skinny counter inside to sit at and picnic tables outside. Depending on time of day could be buggy. It was for us around 5:30. OH...and they close at 6:30. As with anything else in a tourist area it was expensive and there were long waits since they do make everything from scratch. I think vegetarians...

The food here was very good and we felt lucky to find it via Happy Cow. If I lived on the Vineyard, I would eat here constantly. Despite what another reviewer wrote, we found picnic tables out back that were near trees and a garden and had a pleasant outdoor meal without highway noise. with not many options on the island seems to be a great addition to scottish bakehouse. there is a large measure of vegan baked, which are clearly marked. but the last few paintings I was, it was quite disappointing. I ordered the tofu and it took an hour to make and just ended ok; then another time I ordered the vegan blt and asked to make it vegan and after waiting I was given the regular. it is a good place to get small baked goods and bread, but not for eating or eating. updated from previous review to 2017-09-16

We waited about 45 minutes to get our food, unfortunately. I'm not sure if that's typical but it seems like they had a busy take out business and our order was like 15 in line even though we were one of the few people eating there. Bakery items weren't great, to be honest. The vegan items were also mostly gluten free, and not so sweet. Cookies should be decadent in my opinion. I got the coconut tofu be sure to ask for it vegan which was pretty good. The rice was cold, I'm not sure if that was intended.. Updated from previous review on 2017 08 24
