Shady Oaks - Étlap

I wanted to like this place SO MUCH. The best thing about it was the coffee. It's thankfully a stout cup. That said, the order took a good chunk of time, but when it got to our table, the sausage was dry, burned, and cold. In fact, everything on both our plates was cold except the egg. Lukewarm gravy is not good. The pancake was tough, I couldn't just cut it with my fork. I would recommend making breakfast in your cabin.

This is such a great example of how important it is to not judge a book by its cover. The place doesn?t look like much but the service and food were both amazing. My husband and I each ordered a breakfast burrito and a specialty pancake. The burritos were packed full of eggs, cheese, ham, sausage and bacon and were almost two hand burritos. The specialty pancakes were about 10 inches across and tasted great. They even brought us warm syrup and salsa when we asked. Extremelyreasonable pricing for a freshly made meal like mom made it.

Small and cozy place Great Service and Good Food! We stopped in to grab some breakfast after spending a few nights in town. The place was a little crowded but we got seated pretty quickly. A few minutes after we arrived however it seemed like everyone in town showed up. You might want to get there before the mid morning rush arrives if you?re going for breakfast. The menu was simple but offered a lot of options and the food was delicious. Their pancakes areabsolutely gigantic and they taste amazing. Honestly they are more like a cake than a pancake. Nothing our party ordered was disappointing! In spite of the crowd, the service was spot on and our waitress seemed to move effortlesslybetween...
