Lengua tacos here are really good. Some folks don't like lengua (tongue) but the flavor is so good and beefy and the meat itself is soft. Solid tacos.

I was happy to discover this restaurant at the Hillsdale food court, especially since it wasn't already a one-way spot in the RWC area. I usually stick to the tacos or sopa, but this time I decided to try the carne asada salad. My order arrived quickly, and the portion was generous, including rice, beef, salad, and tomatoes. It also came with guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. The dish was bursting with flavor and quite filling!

As a child, I visited Redwood City after dining at El Grullense, and I've been there twice. The carne asada tacos were fairly standard but tasty. I really enjoyed the mango agua fresca as it wasn't overly sweet, which is a plus for me. During the weekend, I decided to order a super burrito, and I was surprised to find that it didn't come with guacamole. I initially thought there had been a mistake, but upon checking the menu, I learned that a "super" burrito is simply defined by its acidic toppings and cheese. Overall, I would recommend sticking with the tacos and tortas, as they are the best options.
