"Four of us ate at Taj Mahal, each for the first time. The first impression is that this is not your usual Indian restaurant. Without doing more than it is, the Taj is beautifully decorated. Mirrors give the impression of a larger capacity. Tables are irregularly placed and offer more privacy than standard corridor placement. Excellent food, good service, centrally located in Schweinfurt. We ordered Chili Chicken, Lamb Kebab Masala and Galicia Naan. Great value for money!

My last meal in Taj was above average. The youngest one was a pretty disappointment. The prices were higher than I remembered my last visit. The bread selection was the smallest I've ever seen in an Indian restaurant on three continents. Indian bread is always a highlight for me. In Taj it was below average for the poor. My wife found her meal a little above average. My lamb Vindaloo was the worst thing I ever had. The meat was hard and strict. The sauce was neither very sharp nor very well seasoned.
