"This is a pretty good Japanese izakaya! The decor is traditionally Japanese, with photos of Japanese celebrities who have visited adorning the walls leading up to the seating area. Vintage Japanese cinema posters cover the walls as well. I had a fantastic experience at Izakaya Takonoki in Waikiki, Hawaii. I've visited several times and I've consistently enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the service. I would give it 20 stars if I could!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with its excellent service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The authentic Japanese atmosphere was truly enhanced by the presence of so many Japanese patrons. It was quite lively when I first arrived, but a lot of people left before I took my photo. If you enjoy Japanese cuisine and are visiting Oahu, this place is a must-visit. I just wish I had discovered it earlier in my trip so I could have dined here more often.
