"While on vacation in San Diego California my girlfriend and I decided to take an overnight stay to the beach Laguuna to enjoy the beautiful beaches and the city. We discovered this little jewel of a restaurant. From the moment we arrived there, we felt welcome and also felt the authentic Mexican atmosphere! The waiter we had was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when he came to the menu. The drinks were also incredible!! We ordered two kinds of margaritas, their house Margarita and their spicy margarita. Both were made fantastic. They could say their bartenders were certainly very good. We only had drinks here, but we really enjoyed it. Well, I guess they gave us free salsa and chips to eat. Very good service. However, the nighttime atmosphere was amazing. They did a very good job on the decor.

The margaritas are amazing, especially the Spicy Pomegranate. I love the Guac too. The mole and suiza chicken nchiladas are the best! Trendy Mexican with authentic and modern flavors. Check out my blog for a full review.

As good as the food was here, I can't say enough about how great the service was that we received in Tortilla Republic. Our server Brian was incredibly familiar with the menu and set the mood relaxed with his social demeanor. Our drinks never went dry and my girlfriend and I had a great experience. We'll be in Orange County for the next time!

"First time eating at this restaurant. The food was delicious. I would recommend the sea bass, scallops and double cut pork chops. The side of corn risotto, which had fresh corn in it, was another delicious dish. As the restaurant became more crowded, the noise level was higher and it became more difficult to carry on a conversation with people at the table."

"It's got to be one of the loudest restaurants in Orange County... the brick walls and the small tables make it very intimate and if you're into that type of a atmosphere it is great! I would recommend sitting at the bar... at least you can speak side by side and have a little conversation. But you will want to go here because the food is amazing... everything we tasted was fresh, high-quality, handmade and really delicious. Thinking back on the menu there are at least 12 things that I still have to go back and try. Think more red sauce southern Italian family-style then upscale northern and more refined dining."

"We were in surfing and sand for 4 nights and every morning we had a wonderful breakfast at Splashes! The Bannana French Toast was amazing and very full! The view of the sea was panoramic and one could feel the sea breeze. All servers and staff were very friendly and friendly. We celebrated our anniversary with them and Rigoberto made it a day to remember! I would highly recommend eating at Splashes Restaurant for every occasion!"

"This is a great seaside restaurant with excellent views of the water from both the tables outside and inside. While the views are excellent the food is excellent as well. I had Sea Bass and my wife had Lobster Bisque and both were delicious and prepared well. Our server, David, was attentive, knew all of the items on the menu in the most minute of details, and was very friendly. A non-food related bonus is that the hotel where the restaurant is located, Surf and Sand, has valet parking for restaurant guests. Parking is a challenge everywhere in Laguna Beach and the valet service made the dining experience much, much easier"
