"We had an excellent dinner at Umbria. To begin, I would like to complement the staff as everyone was very attentive to our needs. The dinner started with a nice surprise: popovers instead of the traditional bread basket. They were large and warm and delicious. We told the waitress we were going to share a Caprese salad as an appetizer and when it arrived it was already separately plated for us! The cheese and tomatoes were fresh. I recommend the Bolognese. It was a rather huge portion but was seasoned quite well and was scrumptious. Another favorite was the seafood pot-delicious! This restaurant has awful service. The waitress was rude from the get go. We were seated next to a door that was opened every 2 minutes and it was freezing. Pizza was soggy and we were brought the check before we were even asked for dessert. We opted to not inquire and left.

Umbria Prime has become my favorite restaurant. It is small and charming. The food is fabulous. We had a variety of dishes including a very enjoyable light calamari, meatballs, oysters and shrimp. We sampled the tomato soup, wild boar ragu, and sea bass, and all were excellent. The sauces in particular have subtle and wonderful flavors. Save room for the chocolate mousse cake! The restaurant lends itself well to small groups. I am losing my hearing, and have started to avoid restaurants, but find the charm and quiet of Umbria very nice.

We where in town for a convention and needed a night out for some real food. Found Umbria to have a good selection on the menu, good staff and easy to locate. The pasta was fresh along with the meatballs perfectly spiced. The popovers served when we sat down where a great change from bread. Others in my party had the beef(perfectly cooked and very tasty as they serve Allen Brothers prime) Two others had fish and said it was prepared and seasoned just right. Dessert...we all licked our plates clean. The bread pudding was tasty as was the tirimisu. I would go back for another meal when in town and have told my friends that live locally to give it a try.
