"My wife and I stopped in at Vaqueros for lunch while on a guided tour of Jerome. In our 70s, with the slanted streets and hills, we only strolled around for a bit before spying Vaqueros. We both love Mexican food so it was an easy selection. We were seatedright away then brought menus and chips salsa. My first disappointment was when I asked for hot salsa. Server that IS our hotsalsa! Hmmm. I asked if they had any hot pepper sauce and was given Tabasco. My wife, as always, ordered a burrito, the MachoBurrito with shredded beef. We've been coming to Vaqueros for a few years and it's by far our favorite place in Jerome. The staff and Martin are great and treat us like family. The food is authentic and drinks are great!

One of the locals recommended the nachos so that?s what I did. They turned out very good. Atmosphere is fun and the view is just phenomenal with the town being located basically on a cliff side. Fun area to come and check out.

Overall great food and service. Wasn't as spicy as I would have liked and I was disappointed with the lack of hot sauce selection (just Cholula) but that wouldn't stop me from returning. Entire family enjoyed their meals. The Navajo taco came as asurprise to see as a menu item but it was stellar. Fun decor and atmosphere. Several David Lozeau prints on the walls.
