"Chez Francois could only be improved by being located a bit closer to home. The 2-1/2 hour drive there just ads antica........pation. It's the drive home afterwards that is tough, but their excellent finishing coffee helps."

"Everything is absolutely amazing at Pizza Galley, you literally can close your eyes just pick whatever, and it's going to be good. One of my favorites there is the Pig in a Pita. If you want something different for dessert, their apple crumb pizza is great. Then of course every March only, the Reuben calzones, they are absolutely phenomenal"

"Chez Francois was our favorite special occasion restaurant for over 20 years. I think the ambience, service, French cuisine, and location on the water make it one of the best restaurants in Ohio. However, our last two out of three experiences were disappointments so we are done. Last night we had a reservation for 6:45 to meet a business associate and her husband to celebrate a special occasion. We made the reservation six weeks earlier. Around 4:00 Rory called from the restaurant to say they had to cancel our reservation (he mentioned something about the Kentucky Derby...what does that have to do with anything? . He offered a later seating, but we live over an hour away and the couple already had their babysitter set up. We didn 't want to be getting our entrees at 9:30. He said they had no tables at 6:45, but that basically means they gave all their tables to customers who were more important (and probably didn 't have their reservation six weeks earlier like we did . He was condescending and rude on the phone and we both hung up angry. If they had told me there was an issue six weeks earlier I could have come up with a Plan B like Marble Room or Pier W. I 'm not saying don 't go to Chez Francois...it 's a wonderful restaurant. Just think twice if you are meeting other people for a special occasion. If you 're planning to spend $800 on dinner for four, the last thing you want to be doing is scrambling to find another fine dining restaurant with a few hours notice (which is what I ended up doing ."

"If you are a local and have no chance to stop in the pavillion, you should definitely. Their drinks were brilliant and their friends green beans with tzatziki sauce is a definitive winner! Our 3 children had a salad, chicken nuggets and grilled cheese, all three were a hit! I had the pulled pig and my husband had the Pavillion Burger, so delicious! Oh, and before I forget to make their house chips are absolutely delicious! The waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food was quick and fresh!"

"My wife and I love this place. We live near Rocky River but make the trek to Vermilion at least twice a year and always stop here for lunch. Best milkshakes in Cleveland as far as I’m concerned. Wife always gets the peanut burger (better then Bearden’s here in River) I used to get pulled pork but that’s no longer on the menu so now I get the bbq burger. Also love the deep fried mushrooms."
