"Went to Bencharong Thai House last night since Siam Orchid was closed and I really wanted some pad see ew. I 'm new to Eureka and have only been to Siam which is amazing but since they were closed I figured I 'd give Bencharong a shot. I called it in to pick up and once I arrived it was hard to figure out where to go to get help since I wasn 't approached or acknowledged by anyone. I sat there for a bit and then saw someone that came in after me get helped. The man who seemed to be the owner seemed mad and confused about who was waiting for what and abruptly slammed the menus down near me and was rude to a newish employee that was really trying to figure things out. At that point I was so upset I kinda just blurted I 'm waiting on my order . Finally they told me my order was being boxed. They seemed busy and under a lot of pressure but a positive attitude goes a long way in these circumstances. Aside from the customer experience upon opening my pad see ew I knew I wouldn 't go back it was skimpy! Expensive food and you don 't get a lot. On top of that I did not eat my food. I had to toss it because the flavor was so off. It was very bland no spices. I tasted no sweet soy sauce. I would find another spot if I were you."

"Food was good, they just took for ever to get us drinks and refills we never got the second set of chips he offered us for 7 people. Also a guy at the bar in the back where they gave us our seats, the guy added 6 dollar tips to our check out bill and he didn’t even desirve it. When you come with more people, they can accommodate groups of all different sizes, as the restaurant is actually quite large. "Wow, I was blown away how good the Clam-Chowder was. The perfect balance between cream and broth. The contents within the Clam Chowder are perfectly cut in size and very tasteful. We were tried to order two quarters of it because it was just so good! The fish and chips on the other side. It was pretty mediocre. It was not bad, but the bread was not crispy at all, and the frits were also very cheeky. Maybe it could be because of the togo container. In any case, it was not very satisfying."

"This review is long overdue! My Bf and I had spent the night in Arcata and decided to take some breakfast before we left. Wow, what a great decision that was. At the beginning we went one and not two minutes later there was a line out of the door, we missed the crowd. We talked to the very nice people in the line and looked at all the wonderful breads. When we paid for our Bagel sandwiches, one of our employees gives us the bread we admired! Already enjoy the atmosphere that seemed pleasantly oriented, we ate our food. The bread melted in our mouth, the bagels were delicious and made with good ingredients and their chai was the best I ever had. We love this place and often think about it. Can't wait to go back. Thanks Los Bagels for a wonderful memory."

"If you love gyros, you need to come to this place! Located in Arcata, Humboldt County, CA (20 minutes north of Eureka) on the CA redwood coast. Greatest gyros on the planet. I've been coming here when traveling for work about 3 or 4 times a year for 18 years. And the staff, well, that's another issue they don't treat you like a customer they treat you like family! Absolutely love this place!!!!"

"Best Mapo tofu in Arcata by a long shot. Awesome egg rolls. Plus Amazing lunch specials and I have heard tell of a secret menu with traditional delights. This is a well priced spot with beautiful booth tables. Walking distance to campus and the plaza. Will go back and try the entire menu. Love to see local places like this thriving."

"This is my third time after a friend worked there half a decade ago. New owners now but the super nacho vegetarian burrito was pretty good. I remember it's better before, but my friend ordered for me and got the world so I hopefully better next time ordering. They have vegan and vegetarian specific options and are quite affordable for a rich beach college city. They even let me use their toilets altho, I don't know if it was different than usual during the heavy pandemic. Good place to find in Arcata!"

"so glad we found this amazing plant-based eating. they do not serve meat, so the menu is completely vegetarian. they serve some ice and cheese items, but their menu proudly announces that they can make any item vegan. we ordered the Fiesta shell and steamed vegetables and rice and they were both healthy and delicious. they have also made home tahini and hot soße that are delicious that we bought too-go."

"When I went through Arcata and had a nice evening with friends. It is embedded in a truly beautiful building, and its bar is stunning. The sweet potato frits (and the Chipotle Marmelade diving sauce! were excellent. The Burger (I have the... Humboldt? I think? Kale, mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheese, keep the bacon. All in all, it was better on paper, but definitely not bad. My friends also seemed happy with their meals! You have a very limited selection of beer and were made of at least one, so if beer is your thing look at yourself at notice. Service was totally solid. No complaints!"

"Pie tasted like molten rubber bears mixed with tires. I basing this review on the cake slices we just bought. They were buried and we all know how berries should taste. Well, I was a little worried that the cake was a perfect shape, probably a lot of gelatin I thought. But when I tasted a piece, I literally had to shoot it out, it was so disgusting. It was indescribably different to say it had no natural taste at all. If this is the way they make cake, with goodness knows what kind of ingredients. .. melted tires with berries candle wax? Lol, I had nothing bad in a long time. Go somewhere else, don't be like us, get the warnings!"

"My husband and I visited Cafe Brio at the end of August! Our Airbnb host actually recommended it as a place to get coffee. I don’t think that I would personally call Cafe Brio a coffee shop. I definitely consider it more as a restaurant! My husband got a mocha and he said it was okay. I got a latte with a seasonal, rose syrup. It had too much syrup for my personal preference. I thought that it was over powering the taste of the espresso! I had also ordered quiche to go. I think that if we would have dined it I may have had a better experience. I thought the location was great and that it had great seating options inside and out! The staff were nice but I wouldn’t say they were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I would still give this cafe a 5 stars. If we decide to go back we may dine in and have more of a brunch! I just remembered my husband got a sort of double chocolate cookie and it was amazing!! I would definitely give their baked goods a try! "The cutest ice cream shop I have ever been in! They have an incredible table that's on a swing. You can sit at it with up to four adults and enjoy your ice cream while swinging! They also have the sweet single carousel ride for youngsters. Local photography is featured in one of their rooms and is available for purchase! The ice cream was delicious! I ordered the honey vanilla lavender and my husband ordered the cookies and cream. Will ate his entire waffle bowl... pictured! Lol I REALLY enjoyed mine too! It was the perfect spot for dessert!!"

"this subway is located near the bridge that connects to the hsu campus. this is in the rule my way to burst when I knirscht at a time to take lunch before I go to my next class. those who made my sandwich were always respectful, nice and patient. the place is clean, I did not use their toilet room so I can not give my two cents there. I usually get a foot long thunfisch sandwich with, salat, jalapenos, mayo on the half of my sandwich and honey scab on my other half along with American cheese. I can't get it tormented. Oh, they have recently new drinks. you're a guave, a limonade that's so good. my experience in this subway was of all the time I have been here so far, positiw. keep them the excellent customer service."

"Beer options have been varied. Bartender was a bit hard to get service by himself if the place was not very busy. The Queensadilla was a standard bar court. Very cheeky and big, which was great. The best of the night was the Nerd-Thema Soul Party. Not a lot of people, but it was a lot of fun. The DJs? Music selection was fantastic. I'm back."

"Fun stop in Arcata with another tasting room near Eureka. I like this spot on our way up to Patrick's Point for some pre camping beers and lunch. Fun selection of games for kids young and old. Lots of beers to choose from with a great variety from ipas to lighter styles. Food from South G also is a great addition and wish I had room for the garlic fries. Loved the bulgogi bowl Greta flavors and each bite with yummy!"
