"to the birthday dinner of my wife we went to the rolandsbogen to enjoy the beautiful view over the Rhine Valley, combined with good food and wine. our adult children enjoyed the pork fillet on calvados frame. very good. my wife had the razing and surfing. duett vom eifler rinderfilet und black tiger garnele, excellent roasted medium with beautiful boiled mushroom risotto. I had half the duck with orange sauce. it was beautifully presented by removing all bones from inside, great idea. but yes there is a big one, but: it was absolutely not freshly baked, therefore not crispy at all. it was only heated in a microwave instead of an salamander. the flesh was gray and unpleasant to see. the taste of it. edible, yes, but no more. the red cabbage was more or less ok, although I don't think it was freshly prepared and the dumplings were prefabricated. but we enjoyed the dessert and the excellent Spanish rioja red wine. a thing that made our visit very unpleasant: a lady in the kitchen was constantly cried with her staff. I could not understand what thema, but they should have led their fight behind closed doors and not let the whole restaurant participate. so I can only give three points. we will not come back, with taking a bockwurst with kartoffelsalat in bistro perhaps, just to enjoy the intent."
