"I really did not have a good experience. We had to wait 1 hour for our food and there were only two other tables. We did see a lot of home deliveries coming in and out. The staff disappears after your order is taken and does not ask for anything. There was one guy working with a mask on but with the nose out. Then the whole “safety” is a bit useless? Since our server did not talk to us i had to walk over to them and say that my food was to spicy (ordered not spicy . The new one i got tasted just like they added a whole load of cream. The whole spinach taste was gone. Then when we complained about the whole experience the owner came (also because they put 2 naan on the bill, we just ordered one . He started a whole discussion about that we should have seen that there were two portions (is he serious? . Then i said well the food was also not good and we waited an hour. He explained that its normal to wait long for butter chicken (ordered by my boyfriend and that he was full the day before and even though people wait long they enjoy it (not my problem or my life . Whole story about guest is king (he made me feel super uncomfortable . I asked 5 times to just leave it (he kept talking about himself . In total, very expensive, long waiting, not good experience. Please in these corona times treat your guest like you say “as kings”. Going to a restaurant should be a nice and happy and special experience!"

"We received excellent service and ate very well. The prices are reasonable. Unfortunately we couldn't eat in the beautiful garden due to a thunderstorm, but we were immediately and courteously moved inside. In terms of character, it is a home style restaurant or to put it more casually: a club for old, white men."

"Came here for drinks on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty busy! I love the industrial design of the place and the vibe it has. Maybe time to get a live band going there once in a while. It would be awesome! So many options for cocktails and other long drinks but beer on tap is pretty limited to 1-2 options. Make sure you book a table if you are a group of more than 4.. Parking around is tricky"

"they have one of the better types of pizza cheeze, I tried both vegan pizzas and they were quite good, including the cheeze with better than average cheeze delicious and not as sticky as many others. this is fast eating, so no high quality pizza because the slices are reheated when they don't order large pizza for their group. this box has many outside seats, but they are close to a busy road."

"We went here for the first time and I must say the food was good. The hugo/aperol should be avoided as this is not a drinks place, so stick with standard bottled drinks. We ordered a mezze, two main courses and water, and the two cocktails. Bill was 80chf which is slightly on the higher side for a basic restaurant. The stuffed aubergine was good though the menu 2 was just at par. Would I here again perhaps but the good part was that the food was freshly made. They ran out of humus but compensated with other stuff. so net summary was it was not a highlight but decent food."

"Feine Snacks und richtig gutes Bier! Wir haben uns fast durch die gesamte Bierkarte durchprobiert und waren sehr zufrieden. Aprikosensauerbier ist göttlich. Ist aber natürlich auch eine Geschmackssache. Auch dunklere Biersorten wärmstens zu empfehlen. Die kalten Platten und Pulled Prok Burger sind gut abgestimmt und schmecken sehr gut. Die Atmosphäre lädt zum Verweilen ein und das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis Leistung stimmt absolut. Wir waren auch mal an einer Brauereiführung in Volta Bräu, fanden diese sehr informativ und hatten Spass am Ausprobieren. Für einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden lohnt es sich dieses Lokal zu besuchen."

"Gewohnt im Besenstil gute Businesslunches zu erhalten, sind wir diesmal mit der Familie zum Abendessen gegangen. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht! Schon die Weinempfehlung war sehr gut gewählt und die Gerichte waren schlicht auf Topniveau! Speziell der Kartoffelgratin war der himmlische Überflieger! Als geübter Koch weiss ich, was dahintersteckt, aber der hat es in sich! Dann das Dessert: an Kreativität und Geschmacksvariationen kaum zu übertreffen. "The service was acceptable, but the food was extremely dissapointing. I recommend going to any other Italian restaurant in Basel. The carbonara was swimming in oil and the egg was cooked. It was more of an omelette with oil and some pasta. Terrible, for the sake of your Swiss experience, avoid eating here. If an Italian restaurant can't make a good carbonara, what can you expect. Even after telling the waiter about the issue, no compensation was even offered. Very dissapointing. Avoid at all costs"

"I held a small event (20 people) at L’Atelier Basel. Ms. Kleiber responded to all of my requests and the whole organization ran smoothly. I would like to thank Moana Kleiber and her team again for the great service. The restaurant is very nice and tastefully decorated. We were able to enjoy the event in the lower area in a cozy atmosphere. The poke bowls were super tasty, there was something to suit every taste. A top price-performance ratio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back!"

"Excellent food, service and ambience. We had 6 course fixed menu on Saturday night. I loved the element of surprise as the menu was fixed and every course was a surprise. All the courses were delicious and well balanced in flavour. I particularly liked truffle pasta and veal steak course. The wine recommendation was also very nice. Service was very attentive and pleasant. The price is very attractive for such a large and various meal. We loved it! Highly recommended!"

"Even though there is currently a construction site, I can heartily recommend the Gempenturm mountain restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was very friendly and accommodating, and despite there being a lot of people there weren't long waiting times. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The price-performance ratio is balanced and fair. For a Sunday or holiday like today's Pentecost Sunday, we as a small group of 10 people were happy that we had made a reservation. Definitely worth a visit."
