"love Swiss pantry! visited for years. they serve deli type sandwiches and suppen for lunch and with a small but diverse selection of fresh food items and their charming baked goods and tasty. it is my understanding that this place was started by the family miller who have a Swiss and mennonite background. the people who work on the Swiss pantry were always very pleasant and helpful about the cutting of my many, many visits. one of the younger coworkers welcomed us, answered our asking and agreed to make us lunch while it was a bit early (about 10:45). while we waited for our sandwiches to be made, we took our time, all the beautiful and delectable were to be confusing for sale. I have lined on some super tasty looking brote of all kinds of aromen (cochdar jalapeño, zimt rosin, sourdough, etc), took in the fresh cheese and meat, and admired the regale dedicated bakery: all kinds of different meals, bake chocolate, toppings and more. they should also sell mais flour, pfancake blend and a cool thing that I saw for the first time today were some dip mixes: small containers of various flavors and spices with instructions to combine them to a delicious dip. both sweet and savory options were available (e.g. dill, speck ranch, lemon cheesecake, caramel apple). really cool! would like to try. I tried to keep my daylight, so I decided to be a simple grilled cheese with chips and a soda can. it was just a shadow over $6, which is pretty good for lunch in these days, especially when the brot soou was good. there was a tonne cheese on the sandwich and it melted to gooey perfection on slightly acidic, perfectly chewing sourdough. this place is definitely worth a trip if they are not out of the opposite. combine them with a trip if mill for a nice afternoon. my last tip: one of my favorites here is her fleased heel. two slightly soft, slightly crunchy, perfectly cinnamony oatmeal cookies around creamy, silky filling. Don't miss it!"

"I took my date here this past Sunday. She had heard of it while working in Belvidere and wanted to check it out. We arrived a little after 7 on Sunday. I was fortunate enough to find a spot to park on the street. I didn't see other parking, but I also didn't look. There is a nice outdoor sitting area, but it was too cold for sitting outside. We walked in and was promptly seated. There were other patrons, but the place wasn't crowded. We sat in the bar area, It looked like the other indoor seating was closed for the night. We both really wanted to try their pizzas. My date ordered the Meat Eaters pizza with the Garlic Parmesan crust, I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch with the Garlic Butter crust. I mention the crusts, because you can order special flavoring to the crusts. Each time you go you can order the same pizza, but with a different crust and change it up a little. Both pizzas were good. My date preferred the Chicken Bacon Ranch and I liked the meat eaters better... but both were good. I think it was the garlic Parmesan crust that pushed the meat eaters over the edge for me... so keep that in mind. The crust was crispy the way it should be, and the toppings cooked perfectly. I liked the atmosphere. The owner went with the repurposed building motif. Which I happen to be a fan. They have the pizza oven right in the bar area so you can see what you order being made. Our service was good. There were a couple of times I ran out of a drink and had to wait to get a refill, but other than that the staff was good. They also indulged us as we stayed right up to... and a little past closing time.. I think they could tell we were into our conversation. The whole place made for a good date. Definitely recommend."
