"Can absolutely recommend all options! Should be 5 stars but since they serve meat this is not an option on HappyCow. They have different daily pots with stews, soups and curries, among them several vegan options. Cool choice of toppings! They also have a great powerbowl and sandwiches. And they are very nice people, a great place to come for lunch to have a tasty meal and a good time."

"I would say an almost unmissable dining experience in Bergen. Set in a beautiful historical building along the famous waterfront, siting inside is an experience in itself. The service was excellent, attentive and breaks between courses. The fish soup, fried catfish and fish duo I can personally recommend. Then for dessert there is only one choice, the brown cheese ice cream. Our waiter Frank, who again was excellent the whole time strongly recommended it to us and I was so wrong to initially doubt him, it is truly delicious"

"very disappointed. we left the place with a bad taste in our tongues. we waited more than half an hour for two tellers. Even if the cash register gave me a discount of 15.%, it was far from tasty and in the perspective, much too expensive, over 450kr. I don't know if it was meat or souces, but I don't feel good with a stomachache. we ordered biff steak and biffpaprika. oh, and the tweeper rings. super sad! the of remma1000 water much better, no more say. mercury"

"Dinner was disappointing. The drinks were watered down including the wine. The food was good sized portions but because they cut corners on things like the drinks it left me to wonder what was done to the food. The temperature in the restaurant was too warm. Service was excellent but I doubt I'm going to return here during future visits."

"Was really excited to try this place, it was my first time in Bergen Norway. We sat down and started with the courses. First off service was great, but the food for the three of us that were here we all agreed on was terrible for what we were expecting. And then taking so long to get all the courses was not fun at all. Unless you’re getting really toasty on alcohol I Think it’s not a great experience. I highly recommend not coming here. My Mom, Dad, and I were very disappointed. And being stuck at the restaurant waiting for the boat made it even worst. Do some research before making a trip to this restaurant. "it is an excellent eating and weeping on a 10-course festival, without doubt. but for a Michelin star place the service was hasting (may perhaps be underoccupied at our day), very briefly explaining the weed and eating and ran away, and generally no personal note of the place. also some of the dishes missed a character they were still nice but without surprise, namely the full green 4 curs, the kimchi fish 2. and the hazelnut only dessert. also the white wine varieties somewhat mixed, the stronger character of the giant should not be the first, and the mild chardonnay should not be the last white, but vice versa. it is very good overall, but for a 7000kr two-person dinner would expect higher standards to 5 stars."

"Our guide suggested and ha said that they were rewarded with some kind of price coffee in Bergen, so we came back after our tour and enjoyed our coffee here! We had to have a cinnamon roll, even we had our lunch! My American was nice, the latte for my wife was extraordinary! This small coffee shop seems always busy, we see that many locals are here!"

"The only downside was that we arrived a bit later (after 9 PM) and they were out of several dishes (like ceviche and a quinoa dish). This wasn’t a big surprise since it's mentioned on their website that they often run out of items, but I do recommend making a reservation if you want to enjoy the full menu. The service was a bit slow, which seems to be a common theme in Bergen. There are only four tables, so I think a reservation would be wise, even though we didn’t have one late at night. We were the only non-Norwegian guests there, which added to the authentic feel of the place. All in all, I highly recommend Munken Bistro!"

"Ahh the vegan cinnamon bun was delicious. Lighter and less sugary than a US cinnamon roll. They had a few other vegan items as well, although none were labeled as vegan so just need to askDidn't try the coffee but would definitely recommend trying the bun! There are a few locations throughout Bergen."

"Burger was fine, nothing special, vegan pommes were much too spicy. 2 burgers and the frits without drinks were almost 600NOK!!! the salad on the side was a leaf of salad with a piece of tomatoes on top. mango dressing tasted like mango yoghurt... In my opinion, it was not worth it at all! Huge disappointment"

"Very quiet, colorful café. Coffee was on site with oat milk, my Gf had the vegan hot chocolate with oat milk. We didn't eat here and seemed to eat vegan. But we could be wrong. The staff was very friendly."

"Similar to fish cake fast food I had the original and heart fish cake in Fish Soup S. The original was made with haddock and the heart was a white fish mix. It wasn't salty and it was very soft, so I enjoyed it and it felt like I was eating the fish cake itself, so I liked it. Personally, the original tasted a lot like fish, so the heart was soft and easy to eat. The soup was so familiar to me as soon as I tried it... Haha, it was delicious. I want to buy it. "Walking back from the cable train after a trip to Floyen (above Bergen) we walked past Escalon and saw people having fun through a window at ground level. With this a fantastic bbq cooking smell it hooked us in and we had a great tapas dinner! English menu and great staff. Great time, thanks!"

"While I had broken a tooth in a disgusting way on a work trip, I could only eat soup for the weekend. Fortunately, these had a decent selection of delicious and filling soups, so my boss recommended it. The service was good, the food was served quickly and tastefully. Sad I can say nothing but the soups, but if you're a soup fan, it's *Koch's kiss* mwuah."

"Went here in We ordered a half Peking duck and also said the number of the item. When it was brought to the table it was already sliced up. Everything was kind of alright until we asked for the receipt. There we realized we've been scammed, because we apparently got served a whole duck. Since the duck was already sliced-up it was impossible to know that it was a whole duck (otherwise we would've returned it). The main issue here is, that we said the number of the item, which makes it nearly impossible to mistake it with something else. The waitress didn't want to admit her mistake or at least see the possibility of her getting that order wrong, although the four of us were sure we said the number as well as that we want Half a duck. After a little discussion we payed for the whole duck. To be fair, if we made a scene, we maybe would've settled for what we really ordered, but we only realized that after we had already left (didn't want to annoy the other guests ignorant waitress limited english skills). Food ist alright, nothing special. On a different note, please employ people who know the difference between half and whole as well having the ability to distinguish numbers. Will certainly not come back."
"even if there are some vegan options. I wouldn't really come back. I had the sweetburger and it was not tasteful at all. it was made of lenses or grains, but the texture was off, and the only pleasant part was the side of the kartoffel. Perhaps the packaging would have been a better option."

"My friend and I decided spontaneously yesterday to eat here and we were more than happy! At first it was quite empty for a Friday night that we really enjoyed because it seems that most people order their food to get it. But we had a great experience in eating. The female owner was really nice and the meals were simply amazing. One of the best Ph mats we've ever eaten! The summer rolls as an appetizer were also really delicious and the roasted Teriyaki duck I got was perfectly cooked, still soft with a beautiful crispy skin. We would recommend this place for anyone who wishes authentic, tasty Asian cuisine!"
