"Take this with a grain of salt, it’s just one persons opinion. We like to take short country drives to what for us are out of the way places to eat. I had hoped this would be one of those, but it did not turn out that way for us. We have been here twice and while the atmosphere is appealing and the people are just as nice as anyone else, the food, while decent, does not make the drive worth it. That’s to say that if I lived in Booneville I would eat here every once in a while anyway, but I don’t plan on going out of the way to. There are things closer that I like better.Again, just my opinion, the sliced brisket was very lean and overdone. The direction the meat was cut off the brisket made it awkward to eat as it wanted to split kind of longways instead of the direction you’d be inclined to eat the slice.I have found that I strongly prefer fresh-cut fries with BBQ. I’m only guessing these are from frozen and seemed to have some kind of breading or something on them but I don’t know.If you are picky about your drinks, the tea was not very good but that can change from one batch to the next and from one person to the next by whomever is making it.In summary, go give it a try for yourself. Support local small-town business and maybe for you it will be a winner."
