"The place is amazing! I was disappointed they didn't have sweet potato ice cream, and really haven't had it for the last two months. There are so many great items to try. I really like that they have individual serving sizes, so I can buy them all. The sweet potato chocolate chip cookie has good flavor. The edges were bit hard, but the center was soft and great. There are walnuts in the cookie, it would be nice to know that up front. I'm not sure I would have bought it if I knew there were nuts in the cookie. I'll be back to try more again."

"I had Gus's chicken in Memphis TN about a week prior to coming to this location. I was hoping everything was the same...it pretty much was. The chicken and fried green tomatoes were on point. Just like they were in Memphis. I did not have greens, baked beans, Mac or coleslaw in Memphis but I did try them at this location. I would not order any of those again. The greens were very salty and tasted like they were cooked in Chicken broth. The Mac was not good, definitely a frozen product. Could have been better with a little seasoning. The baked beans tasted straight from a can. They almost gave a pork n bean flavor...not good. If you like coleslaw that is not sweet you will like this one. It also wasn't cold enough for me but I didn't even ask for it. It came on my plate by mistake. In Memphis the fried okra and French fries were really good. Next time I go for chicken I will stick to the fried sides. Service was good. There was one server but it wasn't crowded so it was fine. Would definitely recommend for some really good fried chicken."

"The hostess was polite and accommodating. My sister and I really enjoyed our food and waitress service. We came in on Saturday during brunch. Thus The Block’s brunch menu included a variety of items. My sister had a chorizo sausage sizzler (please don’t quote me on the name). It had chorizo sausage, scrambled egg, mini wedge potatoes, cheese, and salsa. It came out hot and you can hear the sizzle! The jalapeño cheese grits were her’s too. I did get to try all of them and they tasted amazing!!! I had the pear and fennel salad!! It tasted wonderful!! I don’t know what dressing they gave me, but it was wonderful!! I did add chicken sausage. It was the best chicken I’ve tasted! And I’ve tasted many. I had the pineapple juice and my sister had ginger ale. Everything came out hot!! I’m not in town often, but I’m glad we stopped here!!"

"I visited marrow last Sunday and it quickly became my favorite restaurant in Detroit. The atmosphere was impeccable and the food was incredibly delicious. I am not kidding, every bite I had made me do a happy dance and I didn’t want my experience to end. What made this place even more special was the service. My waiter Scott was so attentive and friendly. He knew the menu very well and made the best recommendations. He took the time to chat with me and he was so thoughtful. He even brought out a birthday treat for the table next to me. People like Scott are rare to find and Marrow is lucky to have him. I can not recommend this place enough. Make the reservation and ask for Scott, thank me later!"

"This is the top Mexican restaurant in the area. Even after being delivered, their food is better than most dine-in Mexican restaurants. Every dish is consistently perfect and of top quality. I can't praise enough the excellence of everything they serve, they are the best in every aspect!"

"My husband and I were so impressed with this place! It was so bright and cheerful! We loved the open kitchen. The service was the top 3 restaurants we've ever visited. Katy was phenomenal and so attentive. We let them decide what we should eat because we are food and not picky. Katy began with the crab salad that was not on the menu and the steactare. The crab salad was creamy and had the acid pop from the grilled mandarins and Yuzu. The steactars were earthy and I loved the mushrooms. This black garlic clove gave him a sweetness and funkiness it needed. The second plates were the twice cooked egg and reserve ribs. The twice cooked egg was a great idea! The salad was so rich! I loved the Brussel shoots and mix of greens, but it was super sweet. It needed acid and salt. I was looking for a relief from lettuce. The ribs were amazing! They were sticky and perfectly cooked. The raw potato salad was addicted. It was crispy, had such a big Umami taste and spicy. The combination was amazing! Our last plates were the pig bell and the sweet potatoes. Cherry bacon jam on these sweet potatoes was so delicious that I wanted to tap the bowl and drink everything! The sharpness of the cherries, the salt from the feta and the smokiness from the bacon mixed with the sweetness of the potatoes was perfection! The pig bell was cooked nicely and I liked the wort and plastered vegetables. It would have been better if we didn't have the reserve ribs. We finished pudding! It's not your mother's pudding. It was thick and rich and full of taste. I love the basil and rosemary in the cookies. It needed this relief from the powerful vanilla pudding. These were by far 3 restaurants we've ever visited. The service, food and ambience was exceptional! We would definitely come back if we were in Detroit! Just star!"

"server was good, service was good, very patient server apps were really good, really good cuddles, and trout toast charcuterie wasn't all that great and I had much better boar bell. was not so impressed by the bark short ribs, in the ground meat very delicate, but I had much better. should've gotten the tomahawk. drinks are expensive, but really good choice. great looking place. definitiw will be back, but I'll do the next time differently."

"The service was great and the hostess was courteous. We came to our reservation late for a ton of traffic for a concert. Buddy's was embarrassed, but still honored our reservation and sat within 10 minutes. Our waitress was friendly and fast. She brought our drinks immediately and our food shortly after. I still can't believe how fast everything came, even if they had a whole house and left the door. We will definitely come back."

"nisha is absolutely terrible? she took our job for hibachi and gave us literally grilled protein without sweet or tear. then tried to give my neffen debt by saying he ordered wrong. ma’am, no, he comes up there every day to order lunch. she offered me to order rice and pay for it. When I asked for a refund, she said tomorrow because there is no manager. then she told me that I had a nice day in a decreasing ton and the phone hung up. Is it terrible?"

"so much I would like to give san morello a 5 stars, I don't think they deserved last night. if they follow my reviews, they know that I often give 5 stars, even too divisibles. it is not about the class or the amount of money. it is about fulfilling expectations in quality and customer services that match the company's presentation. I was not disappointed by any means, but there were some things that added together san merello as a whole quite well done. we ordered 3 apps: the crab custini basic, about the use of mayonnaise and quite boring crab salad. tuscun liver mousse- tasty, smooth I'm not a lebergirl, but I liked it mainly with the topping. tuna crudo. Sushi style, but it was less delicate from the sauce or cut, so it does not behave that melt effect I love in raw fish. it was good. we ordered 1 pizza: og pfefferoni, it was delicious I liked the sose much and it had good quality ingredients. in other wood-fired pizzas it was really good, but not after my opinion tops. then 3 pastas: the black shells- I wasn't even a big fan. the otopus was rubbery and it was just not so great. the pugliese- the favorite of the night for hearty dishes! that was delicious. a lot of texture and taste. slightly oiled, but the pasta was perfectly delicate and the combination of sausage, cherry and fruit delicious! grandmas ravioli- was okay. Maybe I would have liked it better if it were warmer. it came from the kitchen cool not warm. the soße had a dose taste with a kind of boring taste. the pizza-Marinara was very smart. Maybe they ran out of the good stuff and replaced? I don't know. it was certainly classic, reminded me of canned ravioli not of my grandmothers. Finally, we chose the strawberry tarimisu that was perfect on all because of. Beautiful, sweet, but not too sweet the cream made for a beautiful balance with the crushed fruit on the floor. several textures and tidbits of shortcake aromas. it was every penny the $28What really got I was the 3 times heard that porcellan crashed during our dinner, the junkyard empty beverage glasses on our table left for almost our whole endurance and generally the lack of professionalism seemed to wear a high standard restaurant. to the cost of about $125 a person I would rather have a seemingly seeming meal. we have not complained to our waiter who was not present easily. I suppose we had taken care of."

"Went there for breakfast today and it was not good at all. From the moment we walked in we were never acknowledged.I ordered a side of catfish and the waitress forgot it. The location was not crowded at all for her to have forgotten. The eggs were stiff as a board with cheese just laid on top. I had to ask for a spoon for my grits. Every staff member in the place besides the kitchen, as I could see, was standing around eating. Not a good look as patrons like myself we’re just waiting for water. Customer service should have been number 1 since they had a sign that said so but, clearly not enforced! ???? I have been here before and had a similar experience but just chalked it up to them being new. At this point they have been in business for at least 4yrs nothing has changed. Disappointed to say the least. ??"

"The Food Is Delicious!! Laura, Lesley and the cooks in the kitchen took excellent care of us!! It was a lunch rush and they made sure we were all taken care of. The tacos were prepared to perfection!! Our orders were accurate!!! I would definitely return and tell my friends to come. This was a wonderful experience!!! "At the west end of Corktown in Detroit, this is a MUST DESTINATION!!! We ate, We drink, We laughed, made friends, met the staff, and will definitely return!! I have a ton more pictures but go take your own, you will not be disappointed! We didn't have to spend as much as we did but we couldn't stop trying dishes... We took home half of the seven courses we chose, and the unique drinks were outstanding!"

"we have booked the republic weeks in advance on open table to celebrate our 15th anniversary. we were very happy about it. imagine our surprise when we showed up on a Saturday night to our reservation to learn that they were closed for renovations. scrambling, we were quite disappointed to see google, opentable and yelp all recommend that we go to republic as they make stains available. we were able to get a table on the waiter list in san morello and after a short time. next time just update their hours, please do for her to let us know that they are temporarily closed. So I can't comment on the food, the ambiente etc. looks good."

"I don't understand the high ratings. Too much breading. Not much fish. The fries were soggy. There are several places around that have better fish and chips. I guess people just don't try them. Very disappointed. Won't be back. I might add that service was very good. But our little table was very dirty."

"There was a death of a friend and I was looking to get pita wraps or something to that effect to send over to the family. When I searched for 'Pita shops ' I ended up with the number to this restaurant. My call was answered by Alex who provided, not only information but, advice for sending the best gift for the situation. This young man was VERY interested in making certain that I received what I wanted and needed. After we had decided on the best option and we were preparing to place the order, I realized that THIS 'Blimpie ' restaurant was over 30 miles away from me! I apologized to Alex and he proceeded as if there were no inconvenience at all...AND...even helped me beyond that ... in order to best insure that I was going to be happy with what I ordered...no matter where I ordered from!!! Now, THAT was incredible. When I called back the next day to tell his manager about what a fine gentleman and employee he had in Alex, he proudly told me that Alex was his son, to which I replied... 'Well done Dad! '. The manager 'Nick ' told me that they pride themselves on their genuine desire to provide the best they can for their customers. Somehow, I believe him. Thanks both Nick and Alex for a job well done!"
