"Breakfast is as good as it gets at Clarence's. Service is very good. The dining room is acceptably clean. I've only had lunch here once. I DO NOT recommend the country fried steak (which came with brown gravy? or the fried green tomatoes . Neither one was any good."

"French fries are from this world! Southern sweet tea is super good, they also have peach tea when you enter it! My GrandBubba loves the meatballs and hot dogs. There were for the first time for breakfast and let me tell you South My Mouth the Gravy Biscuit, much better than H* €£S, Country Ham Biscuit reminded me of Daniel Boone Inn without the long drive. Super fantastic and the staff are always super friendly, I was really impressed all wearing masks. They want to show that they care about their health and the people they serve. I'm back on every trip to Erwin."

"I keep hoping for better results. Expect mistakes. Ive had cold, dry, burnt, or old food. They seem to have 1 flavor of frosty strawberry now pumpkin spice no thank you). Workers look burnt out and robotic. Not above and beyond. If it closes, then i wouldnt be surprised. "We traveled to Erwin from Upstate SC to see the elephants on the display. We ordered a turkey crossaint and a veggie wrap. Both were fresh and delicious. Jay had the Chai tea. It was made perfect. I ordered the way to mix coffee. Needless to say it is my new favorite! We can't wait to go back. Erwin is such a beautiful place and people are so friendly."

"The food we were eating was great then they decided to start cleaning with cleaning spray and mopping the floor with bleach well the spray came our way and that's all we smelled from then on our I get clean tables but why spray so much we could taste it it was so strong ruined our dinner"

"We decided to stop and eat at this restaurant while on our long drive home to Ohio and boy are we glad we did! I 100% understand why this place has 5 stars and it’s so well deserved. The staff and service is unmatched. The woman taking our order was so sweet and informative. We all got the chicken bacon ranch sub, an order of fries, and an order of mozzarella sticks. Not one of us had a complaint about anything. Not only that but all three of us would say this is the best chicken bacon ranch sub we’ve ever had. When we were leaving almost the entire staff waved to us and told us bye and wished us safe travels. Not only do you rarely find service like this, but especially not in combination with fantastic food. Huge thank you to all the staff at this place, you guys were AMAZING!!!!!!"
