Evanston, en levende forstad til Chicago, har naturskjønne innsjøstrender og et variert kjøkken, med deep-dish pizza og Chicago-stil pølser som lokale favoritter.

"Great local place, bar feel with upscale food..seating I is tight and unless everyone is there they will not seat you, even when they are not crowded ? but the food is very upscale. The Best Oreo cream cheese cake....great corned beef and pastrami. Really nice thoughtful food, this is why you go out to eat. Free coffee, huge beer selection and the game is on tv. A larger bar pool room next door but with a different menu for some weird reason? They never run out of toilet paper. Go, eat enjoy."

"Good Salads especially with added skirt steak. All restaurants struggles during COVID but we are finding the current menu to be more to our liking. There are more healthy options if you like (think hummus plate) and I find the steak and fries to be quite tasty. Also one of the reasons we fo here is that they serve the Athletic Brewing IPA which is one of the best non alcoholic beers on the market. When we are undecided about where to dine our, nonalcoholic drink options often tip the scale for us"

"We dropped by for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. We had the meatballs appetizer to start. They are fantastic with a crushed tomato sauce that was perfectly balanced and slightly tart. I ordered the Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi in a rosé cream sauce with chicken baked with asiago. Mouth-watering good! My wife ordered the tortellini with prosciutto and spinach in a cream sauce, which she loved as well. We will be going back!"

"I typically have a positive experience with the staff and the orders I've placed. I usually order in advance, and they always have my order ready when I arrive. They even recognize me by name, which is great because I can just walk in and say thank you. Meanwhile, everyone else is still waiting for their orders."

"I have always had issues with this place yet I keep trying to give them another chance. During the day they are great but at night they are terrible, they are open yet don’t answer the drive through. They are extremely slow and they have yet to get my late night order right. I just ordered chicken nuggets and they couldn’t give me the right amount. Something as simple as that. I finally have given up and would never recommend this place or go here again, I will go out of my way to another location if I want McDonalds."

"Truly the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant in the Chicago area. We thought we were being punked it was so terrible. Eventually refunded our bill but we would be hard pressed to go back there ever again."

"No frills here—just walk in and order a double or even a triple if you're feeling adventurous! You'll get a classic American burger prepared right in front of you, complete with all the traditional toppings you can choose from. Definitely a must-try!"

"Ordered a packed pint of ice cream, the lady gave it to me with ice cream running down the sides and top not properly on. I asked her to clean it and close it correctly. She displayed an attitude as if what I asked was invalid. Workers not friendly, does not practice proper sanitation procedures. A few patrons went to use the restroom and both the man and lady complainedbecause there wasn't any tilt paper in either restroom. Also I can't complete the survey on the receipt because the store numberand survey code on the receipt isn't valid. HORRIBLE SERVICE, WILL NOT BE BACK!"

"Wonderful food. Since 1979, BLIND FAITH CAFE has done everything well. The waiters are friendly and knowledgeable. The music is soothing. The meals, conventional, vegan, and gluten free are deliciously prepared and presented. We come to the Blind Faith Cafe as part of our yearly trip from the West Coast to visit family. I 'm not a big fan of satan but the chef 's interpretation of the vegan beef fajita was delicious. A year later were back again. Ordered the Thai Peanut Noodles. The entree is spicy and delicious with a stir fry mix of rice, noodles, broccoli, carrots, and scallions, sauteed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and topped with crispy tofu, raw peanuts, jalapenos, and pickled ginger. The extensive menu is annotated to make selection easy. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Wheelchair accessible including bathrooms. Parking is difficult. STUFF: The Blind Faith Cafe is so named because Fran and Ivan, who had little money and no restaurant experience, purchased the Evanston Snack Shop, and transformed it into a cafe. In 1985 the cafe moved to its current location. (Google)"

"This place is absolutely fabulous. I love Mexican cuisine, and just happened to randomly find this spot, while in town (from NYC) on business. Top Notch!!! And having now eaten there multiple times, it is consistent! You will NOT be disappointed. Highly recommended!!!"

"I was really sad we couldn't dine in. When we went inside the interior felt really fun and welcoming. My partner ordered some tacos which were good and then he added the lime provided with them and said they were even better. I ordered a burger and fries. Legitimate fries and the burger was cooked perfectly. No pink and no burning on it. I wasn't fond of lettuce but I'm generally picky with lettuce on anything. I ate the whole burger which isn't common for me. I couldn't finish the fries because I got full. I really hope to go back and be able to dine in next time."

"I visited Sea Ranch yesterday around 5 pm for a bowl of Beef Udon soup and it came with a freshly made California roll. Both were excellent and fresh. The broth had a home made taste to it which is a departure from most restaurant Udon offerings. I sipped it all after I polished off the noodles and beef. The place was very busy when I arrived and they were slow to acknowledge me and take my order. That said, the food was delivered to my table within 10 minutes of ordering. I stop in at Sea Ranch when I need authentic Japanese ingredients in a pinch, otherwise I frequent Hmart for greater variety and more competitive prices."

"Lao Sze Chuan is a genuine Szechuan Chinese restaurant that serves fresh and well-prepared dishes with generous portions. Unlike typical tourist spots, the food here is not overloaded with heavy sauces. The chef pays close attention to customers' preferences and even came to our table to confirm ingredients. I have visited Chinatown numerous times and was introduced to two different menus: authentic Chinese home-style and Americanized versions. It's worth noting that they do not offer fortune cookies in China. I highly recommend Lao Sze Chuan and will definitely be returning. Ignore any negative comments, as our experience was fantastic."

"I needed to put food in my system before going into Sam’s Club (because I’m a dangerous shopper even without the hunger). So I stopped into the place… HOLY SMOKES! It’s so good! I was not expecting Asian food with a gas station in the parking lot to be mind blowing, but their phone hasn’t stopped ringing with orders since I walked in at 3pm. The sesame shrimp was obviously hand battered. The menu was extensive. Service was awesome. Definitely an Evanston win."

"The food at the restaurant was delicious, but the portion sizes were not very large. We received only ten medium-sized tortellini with our order, and the octopus dinner special felt more like a generous appetizer. However, the dinner salads were a good value and everything tasted great. The service was just okay, as the waitress seemed distracted due to the busyness of the restaurant. The noise level was also very high, making it difficult to have a conversation. Even though we were seated in the back of the restaurant, the live music made it hard to hear each other."

"Amazing little cafe with yummy treats and baked goods. We had a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. It just tasted so fresh and home made. It was delicious. My 4 year old loved picking a few chocolates from the display too to take home. Loved the experience!"

"Be nice to McDonald's staff, no matter the service, food, or your mood. These people deserve 20 an hour minimum, that's all. Also, this location always has a working ice cream machine!!!!!"

"Absolutely wonderful meal. We just moved here from Los Angeles and have been trying a lot of restaurants; this has been our favorite so far. The ambience was lovely, the service was attentive, and the food was as delicious as it was beautiful. Fun and delicate plating enhanced the rich flavors. We had the green papaya salad, tapioca crackers, Angus Beef with Bah Mi Noodle, and Khun Sompit’s Big Fish. Everything was delicious, especially the fish! The sharp garlicky flavor of the fish was complemented really well by the sweet vinaigrette on the kale salad it was served with. This is not Americanized, strip mall Thai food (which is also good, just different), this feels like elevated, homestyle Thai cooking with an haute cuisine twist. Highly recommend."

"My wife and I decided to try Terra Vine for New Year 's Eve dinner. The first thing that was told to us upon arrival was that the kitchen closed at 8:30pm and the restaurant at 10pm, we were a little confused and surprised as we had made our reservation for 8:15. Staff were clearly ready to be done with their shift and at one point or server came to the table and said what and stared at us? Overall the food was okay but the service was just not friendly and the main reason we would not come back."

"Viet Nom Nom is my go-to lunch spot in Evanston. So fresh, healthy, and delicious! Everything is made from scratch and I’ve never had a meal I didn’t love. Family-friendly, too; my toddler drinks their peanut sauce like it’s a milkshake! Best part is: they sell it by the jar. They also have fed thousands of gourmet meals to community members in need during the pandemic, and the owner—who is very hands-on—could not be more passionate about his product, his team, and his community. Highly recommend!"
