"My aunt and I visited two travelers Tavern after a long day with the rest of the family. The ambience is uplifted but relaxed – and the music is trendy (Billie Eillish played in the night we visited), but it was not insane at all. They only sell wine from the bottle that I was initially disappointed, but it was actually an excellent value. You choose your wine, the bartender pours you and your host a glass, and they keep an eye out when you ask if you want a refill. So overall, very friendly service. The only small disadvantage was eating. I ordered the Mac-and-Cheese... and for this price, I got a lot bigger share (at least double) while I was living in NYC. I asked about chicken on the side, but next time I go back I probably only ask for double Mac, no chicken. On the other hand, while Two Travelers have some bad reviews during their soft opening (it is still a newer restaurant), the tacos apparently have much better since the soft opening. My aunt got chicken tacos and really enjoyed it this time (she was there for the soft opening too). Overall the service was excellent, the drinks were good (small but quality wine list). My only wish is that the portions were a tad bigger, as it makes no sense to calculate NYC prices for such small portions. Will definitely go back and I would highly recommend. It is not a party place, only very gentle and relaxed."
