"invited by a friend to the birthday, I visited the Irodion again after a long time. The greeting was friendly. Outermost hadn't changed much since my last visit: a Greek ambience, the table beautifully covered. Drinks: My beer was well tapped and properly tempered. The dishes: the appetizer board that I shared with another birthday guest was tasteful and visually good and it was big, I will order them safely during a next visit. My grill was also well filled and he was good. However, the meat could have been a bit hotter, the supplements were hot enough. The red wine ordered to the grill plate was good. To praise also the service: Friendly, unobtrusive, but always there when something was needed. All in all a successful restaurant visit, which is certainly repeated."

Das Niveau der italienischen Restaurants/Pizzerien in Gießen ist schwach und damit es reicht nach Nudelstube für den 2. Platz. Lokal: Ausserhalb des Zentrums in einem Trakt mit anderen Geschäften. Die Einrichtung typisch für viele Familien-Restaurants in Italien also ohne Geschmack aber authentisch. Geeignet fürs kommen mit der Familie. Romantischer Abend oder Businessessen fallen aus. Service: nur ok. Bierauswahl (vom Fass): Licher also ok. Weinauswahl: nur ok. Küche also das Wichtigste: Das Produkt entspricht der deutschen Vorstellung einer Pizza und für einen normalen Deutschen ist gut. Die Bewertung der 4 wichtigsten Komponente der perfekten Pizza sieht wie folgt aus: Teig nur 3 (ist nicht leicht und Rande muss man lassen), Sauce 3 (zu wenig saftig), Käse 3+, Zutaten und Kompositionen 3 (vor allem Salami könnte besser sein). Olivenöl schwacher Qualität.Preisleistungsverhältnis: Pizza kostet 7-9,50 also ok für die 30 cm Pizza. BofG - Wiederkommen/Empfehlungsfaktor (0-100%): 40% ich komme wenn ich muss."

"Das Restaurant hat einen Lieferservice mit einigen Tischen drinnen und draußen an der Straße.Es gibt eine eher kleine Speisekarte mit Pizzas und Nudel Gerichten. Die Pizzas gibt es in 2 Größen.Die Preise sind mittel. Die Preise auf der Speisekarte ist für die kleinen Pizzas, die großen Pizzas kosten alle 2 Euro mehr.Das Personal hat sich untereinander recht laut unterhalten, zu mir waren sie sehr freundlich.Meine Pizza Peperoni Wurst war nach 10 da und sehr gut. Sie war italienisch, mit einem hervorragenden Teig und hat sehr lecker geschmeckt.Für eine kleine Pizza war die Größe recht ordentlich, das relativiert natürlich auch den Preis, so das es eher mittel bis günstig heißen muss.12 Euro für eine kleine Pizza, die ziemlich groß war und 2 Getränke sind in der City von Gießen eher günstig.Beim Bezahlen bekam ich noch einen kostenlosen Marsala angeboten.Insgesamt sehr gut."

"For lovers of good regional cuisine, the Hawwerkasten is a must. The food is hessian/German, instead of the usual fries, there are salt or roast potatoes or bread, industrial ingredients are up here, everything is fresh. The meat (the hessian cuisine is meat-laden) comes from the Mezgerei next door (one of two butchers in the water that do not belong to a größmetzger chain) and is always fresh so that you can enjoy Tartar without any problems. In the kitchen is a fryer, carvings and stools are roasted and juicy and tender. Fresh and well tapped here more in all variations, other varieties are available from the bottle. The wines offered are also good. The service staff is fast, competent and very friendly. Location: The Hawwerkasten is located on the outskirts of the Gießen city centre in the Neus Schloss/Zeughaus, close to office, country and company, right next to the government office and close to the employment agency. The house is one of the few remaining buildings after the Second World War, in it was already in the 1920s the Hawwerkasten . The interior is rustic with lots of wood, even the chairs and tables are old, but well maintained. "we were there for a high time and it was wonderful. the event room was very nicely decorated and the ambiente was really elegant. the service was good and the wine was exelent. I can't eat milk, but the kitchen was so flexible and made a dressing and a dessert only for me. and even that was super delicious. the only thing that wasn't so good was the dishes. they have served circus photos with a really bad taste. but the longdrinks helped to forget that the night in our room was beautiful and the room is really big. we will be coming back"

"Pizza okay, but not as overwhelming as others said. A good choice of blows/variant. Large special board for wine, but was not pointed to us, so only saw it wgen left. Insecure and inexperienced staff (mixing of orders, not names pizzas right, placing drinks in front of wrong guest, handing us dessert fork individually, as did not seem to know where to place it on record) but friendly. Tiramisu disappointing. Overall small selection of desserts. Has anyone Saud overpriced it? I don't know what world they live in, but 4 pizzas, beer/wine, 4 desserts and 4 coffees for 88 euros is a really good price. So not excellent overall, but also pleasant enough to not think."

"Probably the best burger I've ever had. It is juicy, the sauce is amazing, the french french frits are so different than others (but so good). In winter it's so crowded that you can't have a place there. In summer also rooms outside. Must wait for burgers >20min. It's worth it. If you are unable to eat a lot, I recommend sharing one with your friend. Only cash."

"Prior to this we had an unpleasant experience at Bar Celona up the road, so entered Justus as it always looked pleasant from the outside.It has a nice warm, old school restaurant-pub style atmosphere and was busy. The staff immediately responded and said a comfortable table would be available shortly. We sat at the bar and since that was comfortable enough, stayed there.The German home cooked food was simply delicious--that was a nice surprise. I had a herring dish and my wife dumplings and we both enjoyed it very much. The portions were a decent size and I tried a Bavarian beer that I've not seen before. Also tried the homemade herbal liquor and that had to be tested a second round;) Very nice, I recommend that.Well done Justus, we will return with friends and family. Keep up with the friendly staff as this is always nice to experience."
