"Where do I begin? Let's just start off by saying I have been here probably 10 times now. I have only gotten their SSS and fried chicken (not pictured). The steak dish is the perfect amalgamation of flavor, texture, and quality. Starting with the beef, it is cooked to a PERFECT medium rare every single time. Not only that, the steak is seared to perfection. You can taste the char marks from the grill, but the meat is definitely not burned. The meat is also perfectly seasoned and it has the best scallion vinegrette sauce to accompany. Next is the bed of rice that the steak sits on. It must be some sort of spanish rice, that is flavored with either chicken stock and some other spices. Nonetheless, the rice packs a perfect punch but ensures not to overpower the taste of the steak. The whole mini green onions are juxtapositioned to the steak and rice and has the most perfect spicy aioli on it. I usually ask for a little more of the aioli to mix it in with my rice for more flavor! The green onions are also grilled and seems to be seasoned with just salt and maybe a little bit of black pepper. Last two items in the dish are the side salad and the small cup of pickled veggies. The side salad has arugula and crunchy fried onions on top to give the salad a mix of texture and is finished with a slightly creamy salad dressing. Not sure how they make the dressing, but it tastes like a variation of a vinegrette. The dressing is NOT too powerful to ensure that the sauce doesn't overpower the flavor profile of the dish itself. Lastly, the pickled veggies. This item is probably the most korean item in the dish. Pickled vegetables are a staple in traditional korean cuisine and Hankki executes this side dish to the highest degree. Veggies taste fresh and is dressed with vinegar and some other condiments. Tastes just like home as I am an American born Korean. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend Hankki to anyone. It is truly a korean fusion and I order take out every Friday as it is my work from home day and they have not missed a single time! The ingredients are truly fresh everytime as well! Cheers!"
