"We went to Benny's for a special occasion and we were very disappointed. It took about 20 minutes for us to get our order taken and then another 45 minutes for our food to come. My daughter ordered a chai tea and it never came, I asked the waitress and she came back and said she actually made it but forgot to give it to us so she was warming it up. Not really what you want to hear that your drink has just been sitting out and now is just being warmed back up, but then it still didn't come. I went up to the counter and just cancelled the order, then as we were about to leave she brought it and it wasn't good. The food was nothing exciting, very strange tastes and flavors that didn't seem to compliment each other, also very small portions for the price. I will not be going back ever, my whole family was so disappointed."

"I had high hopes for this place since the Japanese steakhouse in Bozeman was not good. We were in Helena for the weekend and hoping for some good food. So we went in and was asked to wait for 10 min which we did. Then they said we are ready for you and seated us at a hibachi table. We ordered sushi and gave our order for dinner... Steak, chicken and shrimp. After we finished the sushi, the employee came and told us if they didn't have more people come in, they would have to cook the food in the kitchen, or we could wait a little and see if anyone else comes in. No one did so he said they would cook the food in the kitchen. I cancelled dinner, paid for drinks and sushi and left. We didn't go there to eat from the kitchen. Why would you let money walk away from your restaurant?? Never again!! And I am sorry I spent one penny in that place."

"that is definitiw not the best pizza of montana. first they have sitting things in free, but have won?t bring out the pizza. the bar seat is too close to the many so it is too warm when they try to escape the 95 degree heat today. After they eat outside, they don't have a mull can, so they're referring to the neighboring dumpster. they have 2 sizes, medium and large. I can't imagine what the little one would be because the medium was a personal pizza. I actually left a pizza restaurant that was hungry for the first time in my life. the price was a medium price. with a drink, almost $20. apropos drinks, they only have a size, medium. I gave them only one extra star because the crust was good. the photo shows the pizza in a 12? box. they can see how small it is."

"The food was amazing. My husband said it was the best lasagne he has eaten (besides mine). I had linguine with shrimp and it too was amazing. Friendly service and great atmosphere. We did take the advise and got there at 4pm sat at the bar and we were seated at 5. By then there was an hour wait. Try it you won’t be disappointed."

"I've posted 5-star in the past and our recent meal was equally great. A couple bad reviews from the Taco Tuesday crowd had me worried, but those seemed to be intentionally damaging for some purpose. Our group was large and required two booths which required a brief wait to get nearby tables. Our waitress was prompt and well organized managing our orders. The orders for our six adults and three children were delivered quickly on very hot platters. Without exception our meals were exactly as ordered with large portions. Members of our group had lived in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico for a few years, and thoroughly enjoyed their authentic meals. I'm a fan of the Colorado burrito and wasn't disappointed. Helena is fortunate to have several excellent Mexican restaurants and Melaque among the top three. The food here is wonderful, portions are large and prices modest. Maria, the owner, has always been responsive and helpful with our menu questions, even though very, very busy."

"For the first time my wife and I experienced the Italian ristorante Bella Roma, this last Valentine?s Day. We had searched hard for a place to go for a great steak, and the local steakhouses didn?t have great reviews, so we opted for Bella Roma, and chose the 4 course meal for two! It was in the building of a hotel, which was a little weird for such a fancy place, but I guess that doesn?t matter. It stared with coffees and super soft focaccia bread with olive oil and vinegar to dip in. Very good! I loved that. Then our first of 4 courses was an appetizer. Mine was a fancy salad and cheese with thin raw filet minion slices. I had to think twice about the raw meat but decided to go for it. (I?m not versed in fancy food and couldn?t rename those fancy food names if my life depended on it). It was very good though! My wife had some tomato soup type thing with breadsticks. For the second course we both had salad. Hers was spinach with walnuts and blue cheese, and mine was Ceasers and came with a whole head of romaine lettuce still together! I?d never seen that before. It was okay but was my least favorite part of the meal. The third course, was of course the steak and potatoes. I got the 16oz ribeye medium rare, and my wife got the 8oz filet medium rare. Hers was more medium and mine was more rare, and it was very soft and buttery, although I would have opted for a bit more cooked, but it was still delicious. The potatoes were very good too. I was approaching critical fullness and couldn?t finish the steak if I wanted to save room for the dessert. For desert both my wife and I had the cannolis. They were very good and it took us about 30 minutes to stuff them in our tummies. I recommend the cannolis. The service was also very good, we couldn?t take two sips from our water before they were there refilling the glasses. They were very attentive and our waiter was very nice. This place was not cheap though! This dinner ended up being the most expensive dinner my wife and I had ever had in our lives, but thankfully we are blessed and can afford if for a special occasion like this, and for the first time in years we were able to dine free of our children! (Thanks to our amazing neighbors)! ?? love you guys!! I recommend Bella Roma for fancy occasions, they do make delicious food and have great service!"

"My dad, who lives out of town, and I went to Steve's for lunch a couple of years ago, and ever since then, it has become his favorite place to go whenever he visits. I introduced him to Steve's because I was impressed with it, and he loved it so much that now he insists on going there every time he is in town. This Father's Day, despite the busy crowd, we had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly, and the service was fairly quick. Thank you, Steve's, for living up to your reputation as the number one voted restaurant."

"This place makes the best beef and bean burrito with extra cilantro and onions that I have had in a long time. They will make your burrito anyway you want it.Some people mention it's not authentic Mexican it may not be but I mean it is delicious and if they are available when you go try the chocolate chip cookies the owner makes them and they are delicious. Like their menu says, their meat is seasoned well but if you like spicy, ask them to add one of their salsas on the side. Found this place after reading reviews when travelling thru. Sign says they are only open weekdays 11am to 3pm. No indoor seating, a few nice picnic tables, and you may have to wait in line outside for your food..but worth it!! The locals eat here so you know it's good."

"While searching online for a place to have dinner, I came across this place and was drawn in by the pictures of the Charcuterie. There are a variety of seating options and a large selection of wines from all over the world for purchase. The food item portions on the menu are smaller, but perfect for two people and allow for multiple tastings to compliment your wine flights. The staff is highly knowledgeable, and can expertly recommend wines according to what you like. We had the Bee Happy, The Janice and Prost. All were amazing. If you love wine bars, The Hawthorn offers a great experience."
