"So glad we were within walking distance! They are so warm and welcoming! I had the southwest chicken salad served in a warm bread bowl and it was amazing! My husband had the wings and my kids the mini burgers and mozzarella sticks. Everything was good! We will be going back one more time before we leave and will be back next summer where hopefully I can try some of their cocktails! Thank you for your hospitality and good food!"

"Great brunch! I had their special which was maple bourbon sausage with goat cheese grits, eggs, and kale. The grits were the best I?ve ever had, they were ridiculously creamy with plenty of goat cheese and the sausage was delicious. My friend got the fish and grits which was also great and the collard greens were seasoned perfectly. For drinks we got the Grand Mimosa and a Bellini- both were appropriately strong and very good. They were a little more expensive than expected, as there are not prices on the back of the drink menu which was slightly annoying. I recommend eating outside or on the covered patio if possible, as there are some nice views."

"Today was my second time eating at Long Island Cafe. Oddly enough I've lived on the island for my entire life and just stumbled in a couple months ago. My first experience was so welcoming! I had what ever the special was that night and I would of eaten it 10x over. Being my first time Christiana the owner came over and joined me for some light conversation! Being such a lovely owner that she is she even sent me a dessert on the house. Creme Brûlée to be exact, it's my favorite. Then today while running errands around town I decided to stop in for a quiet lunch for myself. The atmosphere as always was so welcoming. The waiter was beautiful. I got so caught up in his beauty I forgot his name. Not knowing what to order he recommended a few items. I ended up going with the Soft Shell Crab special! Gotta love trying something new. Thanks as always to the staff of Long Island Cafe for yet another welcoming experience! I'll be a customer for life! (His name was Oliver! Highly recommend asking for him)"

"Stumbled across this gem on our first trip to Isle of Palms. In the corner of a strip plaza, it is easy to drive past. First pleasant surprise was how comfortable and nice it is inside. We arrived at about 12:30 and sat at the bar. Second surprise, both breakfast and lunch may be ordered 'til 2PM. My wife order the Cesar wrap from the lunch menu and I got the Mexican skillet from The breakfast menu. Both were expertly prepared and delicious. Totally satisfying!"

"We hadn't been in awhile and didn't want to travel far our first day. This is still a good solid choice. We made reservations but still got stuck at worst table in restaurants near hostess stand. People kept standing over us and bumping into us. The crab fritters were nice appetizers. The wedge salad came with brown lettuce. The entrees were good but not great. We have had better experiences. Good but not great. The bartender and valet were excellent. Very nice."

"There are actually 2 reviews here, breakfast is a 5 star but dinner is lower at 3 stars. First breakfast ... It is a bit pricey but that is the norm for a hotel restaurant. The food was fresh and prepared very well. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. The server kept our coffees filled and checked in regularly. The bacon was perfectly crisp without being overcooked and the sausage links were large and well seasoned. The grits and potatoes were excellent although I did add salt and pepper to the grits. Dinner was a bit of a disappointment. Starting with the appetizers which were the star ... the Caesar salad was perfect with shaved cheese. The croutons were flavorful and the dressing nice and sharp with good hints of anchovies. The charcuterie was appropriately sized and the cherry vinaigrette went well with the meats and cheese. Portion size was small. The entree food portions were small and not well seasoned. My wife got the she crab soup as an entree and it was overly salty. The gnocchi was starchy and not as flavorful as I expected from the description. The promised sauce was hard to find. The bread basket had the tiniest corn muffins I have ever seen and the biscuits were dry and seemed left over from the mornings' service. At $7, I do not recommend adding the bread basket."

"Great food and ambiance. We are local and finally got in for dinner. Not an easy reservation to get since the restaurant is small and popular. Obviously the menu is mostly seafood. We especially enjoyed the swordfish and octopus. The food and wine are true Italian and reminded us of our trip to Italy last year. Highly recommend!"

"Papi's was recommended by a stranger on the beach. We saw the menu and let me say they have the best ALLERGY FRIENDLY, including GLUTEN and DAIRY FREE menu! (See, I sent a picture to my MIL-Bc, which she hates onions! You will understand when you see the menu! So, my beast and I went to dinner, and fortunately we did it early, so there was no waiting time. We were sitting at the front door. I, the observer I am, noticed the total occupancy is 39 persons max. Note: It is a very packed, narrow restaurant. Don't be afraid to be comfortable! I also noticed there were 3 levels. Level 1: Dining area, Level 2: more dining area, Level 3: Terrace bar! And then there are tables outside for some more food. You also have bar seats. Through tables and a high top weave the toilet room on the first level. Let's talk about food! The chips and guacamole were great! The chips are made in the house and with corn, so definitely gluten free! I highly recommend it. If you like salt, these crispy chips are just right! My friend and I ordered the sesame meerrot tunaco. I ordered my gluten-free, she ordered her without special requests. The size was not too big, in fact, they were the perfect size, especially if you will order more than one. (I recommend!) I take a bite and I am super distracted by the crowd of people who come in, I did not notice that my taco was on a flour tortilla. I'll pick up the taco for a second bite and recognize what I did right away. I let the server know that the Taco was on a flour tortilla when I hurried into the toilet room. I wasn't mad at me. I'm so careful! The people who watched me were so distracted. The server said there were more toilets upstairs, but then a gentleman just left the toilet room in time. Let me say the GM and the servers were AMAZING and so KIND. They apologized and said they caught the mistake. I felt terrible because I caught the mistake. Some might argue that it is their task to ensure that food comes as ordered, but chefs, chefs, servers, GMs are all people. The GM took care of everything that was very friendly. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDS this restaurant for gluten free, milk-free people!"

"A perfect place for an ice shop! We met friends and everyone got ice and then drove to the beach. It is an exterior with some pavilion style seating. We have caramelously salted, clobular monkeys and keksteig ice cream on waffle cones. Everyone was very happy with his decisions and we will definitely come back"

"We just got to town and wanted to walk on the beach at sunset. Afterwards we were ready for dinner and a quick Google search lead me to this place. I loved the atmosphere. You can eat outside, if seats are available, with a view of the ocean. They have a upper level bar, which we didn't go up to. It is kid-friendly. I saw something about an elevator, but didn't need it..but the entire place is up a couple flights of stairs. We walked from the street side and you kind of have to walk behind other restaurants to get there. They have signs pointing you in the right direction but you kind of feel like you are going someplace you shouldn't. The food was really good. I ordered the Beach Burger (pictured) and added bacon. It was delicious!!! The fries have a pretty tasty seasoning and I enjoyed the sweet tea as well. We may be going back for lunch in hopes of sitting outside. My son loved his chicken tenders. You have to ask about the kids menu since they don't have a physical one but the wait staff can tell you what they offer."

"The she crab soup had no chunks of crab. The bowl was flat and large. The she crab soup and blue crab soup was one in the same. The temperature was medium. The main course food at four didn’t come out at the same time. We had to ask the servers name. When he first came to the table, we thought he was the Waterboy! He brought a free drink to one of the girls, and not to the other who ordered alcohol."

"I was excited to try this spot after living here my whole life and having never tried it. family was in town from out of state and we thought this the perfect spot to catch up. The drinks were decent and the food was pretty good.... with the exception of the fried green tomatoes that were extremely soggy. My biggest complaint is the pitcher and saucer set up the have in the back dining room by the water. I don't know if there are similar set ups around the restaurant but this was my experience. It is completely unhygienic! They keep them directly behind guests where hair and anything else can get in them/touch them. I didn't notice the set up until one of the servers grabbed the pitcher and I felt a wet smack on my back where my hair had been IN it and proceeded to fall on the saucer plates. We told them what happened and they changed out the water and tried to put it back. I said no, this is unhygienic and is going to happen again. Surely I can't be the first person this has happened with. Another server ended up sneaking the pitcher back to which they yanked my hair when grabbing it. I ended up putting the salt shaker on top of the plates to keep them from putting it there. (pictured so you can see just how close it was. Next to me on the other side of the aisle we noticed a similar situation where a man kept taking his hat off and brushing his head or stretching his arms back onto the saucers and pitcher behind him. For this alone I'll never go back and highly recommend you too visit elsewhere.even for the quality of food there are much better places to spend your money at in Charleston. If this is what they do in the dining room, I can only imagine what codes they are breaking in the kitchen."

"Worst BBQ ever. Because of some malfunction in the kitchen, they did not have pulled pork. Which is kind of like a seafood restaurant not having fish. We ordered the brisket, which has really bad. First of all, over of the brisket was untrimmed pure fat. Also, the brisket was very very tough and overcooked, with no taste whatsoever, except for the peppercorns adhering to the outside. Even the BBQ sauce did not help. Awful. Plus, the waitstaff, while the tried to please, brought my wife regular beer instead of the nonalcoholic beer she ordered. Couldn't have been more disappointed"
